My Review:
Mystic Brews and Mayhem is the third book and a delightful addition to the Magical Teashop Mysteries series by Karen McSpade. From the outset, I was captivated by the world of Mystic Brews and Mayhem, especially upon discovering that it takes place during the Christmas season. I was thrilled about the forthcoming party and all the possibilities it could bring.
As I’ve already stated, it is Christmas time, and the residents of Winter Haven, Maine, are celebrating with a festive gathering at the Jacobs Estate, the home of the mayor. The Jacobs Estate has hosted annual Christmas parties for many years.
Everyone is enjoying themselves until a prominent businessman is found dead in one of the upstairs bedrooms. The party attendees soon realize they are trapped in the Estate due to the snowstorm raging outside.
Samara Snow, known for her investigative skills, takes it upon herself to look into the circumstances surrounding the man's death, aided by her boyfriend, fisherman Jack Andrews, and her charming talking cat, Pumpkin. Pumpkin adds a delightful touch to the story with his amusing antics.
With a mansion full of potential suspects and numerous individuals who might have had motives to harm the unfortunate man, Samara’s investigation uncovers many secrets that someone is desperate to keep hidden, putting her in danger.
