My Review:
Alexia, along with her two close friends, Buddy, her devoted German Shepherd, and Jenna, her best friend, are taking a stroll along the beach where the police discovered a man lying in the water. Four women are present on the beach, though they do not seem to be associated with one another. Nevertheless, they all appear distressed about the man.
Are these four women linked in any way? Do they know each other? Do they have any connection to the man in the water? If they do, what is their relationship with him? Why is the man lying on the beach? What has happened to him? Could one of the women standing nearby be involved in his fate? Or is it possible that someone else is responsible?
There are numerous questions that I sought answers to, but they were not readily available as Murder at Seaglass Cove kept me in suspense, making me wait eagerly from page to page. I found myself attempting to deduce what had occurred to this unfortunate man, yet the more I tried, the more the narrative seemed to guard its secrets.
These secrets were unveiled gradually, keeping me captivated from start to finish. I was unable to turn the pages as quickly as I desired. The tension escalated with each page, enhancing the intrigue of the story.
I thoroughly enjoy reading about Alexia, Buddy, Jenna, and the mysteries that seem to follow them wherever they venture in the Alexia Jones Cozy Mystery series. The world-building in this series is among the finest I have ever encountered, and it continues to improve with each installment.
