Synopsis:
The tattoo artist with a heart of gold.
The playboy with his own hidden scars.
The international rockstar who longs for a home.
The mechanic with a dark past.
These are the heroes of Second Circle Tattoos. Trent,
Cujo, Dred, Reid. And now all four books are together for the first time in a
fabulous, low priced eBook box set featuring an exclusive epilogue. Why pick
one book boyfriend when you can have all four?
The Strongest
Steel
Harper Connelly never expected to find herself outside of
a tattoo parlor at one in the morning. The scars that decorate her back are
just one more reminder of things she'd rather forget, the past she wants to
leave far behind her, but before she can move on, she needs him. Trent Andrews
has his own reasons for specializing in inking over scars. And there's no way
in hell he's going to turn Harper away. Being with Harper is like going ten
rounds in the ring—exhilarating, powerful, and dangerous. She stirs feelings in
him he thought were long gone... if he can only get past her carefully
constructed defenses.
The Fractured
Heart
Tattoo artist Brody "Cujo" Matthews knows how to
keep things simple. In life and in love. That all changes when he meets Drea
Caron, the definition of high maintenance and sizzling curves. And the one woman
he doesn’t want to walk away from. Andrea "Drea" Caron is broke and
tired. After years of caring for her ailing mom, she's at the end of her rope
trying to manage the piling medical bills, two jobs, and a life placed on hold.
She certainly doesn’t need the added frustration of a sexy playboy tattoo
artist messing up her carefully balanced life. Too bad the universe has other
ideas.
The Purest Hook
Rugged, hot, and rock hard, Dred Zander is exactly the
type of man that normally sends Pixie running. Not dreaming about running her
hands down his washboard abs...and lower. The lead singer and guitarist for the
band Preload embodies trouble behind his quick smile and guarded eyes, and
Pixie left trouble behind her years ago along with the name Sarah Jane Travers
and the pathetic trailer her mom called home. But Dred has other ideas. Pixie's
sweet hazel eyes, purple hair and kaleidoscopic tattoo of exotic flowers that
swirl up her arm haunt his dreams, and he's ready to fight like hell to keep
that feeling.
The Darkest Link
When her car breaks down off the side of a lonely highway
far from her sunny Miami home, tattoo artist Lia never expected her very own
white knight to ride up on the back of a barely street-legal motorcycle...and
she never expected to fall for her dark savior. A bruised heart Lia is not
looking for forever, and the hot mechanic, with his sexy scruff and shaggy
hair, is simply impossible to resist. He's the perfect candidate for a
mind-blowingly-perfect, no-strings-attached one-night stand. But when their
fling becomes something more and Reid surprises her at her tattoo studio,
Second Circle Tattoos, he's in for a shock—and a fist to the face—when his past
and present collide.
Exclusive
excerpt:
"So, I don't want you to get mad, Shortcake, but I have a
surprise for you," Cujo said. Nervously, he ran his hand through his blond
hair as the opulent elevator of the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas took him and
his unsuspecting soon-to-be fiancée up to their room. He studied Drea's hazel
eyes. Eyes that lit up when she smiled, that became red and blotchy when she
cried, and went wide when she came apart in his arms like she had in bed that
morning. Right now they looked at him suspiciously.
"More of a surprise than this morning when you woke me and
told me I had an hour to pack and get ready?" She grinned at him and
flicked her long-layered hair over her shoulder. "A surprise I am very
grateful for. It’s a nice break before I go back for my second year of
school." Confidently, Drea stepped toward him, lifted up onto her toes,
and brushed her lips against his in a kiss which had him second guessing the
surprise waiting for them in their room. He should have ensured it would be
empty so he could throw her down on the bed, claim one more state on his
places-I-fucked-Drea map. But that was going to have to wait, because first he
had to get down on one knee and ask the one question he'd been so certain she'd
say yes to when he’d put all of the plans in place. Now he was less than ten
minutes away from doing the deed, he wasn't feeling quite so confident. He loved
her with every fucking cell in his body and was certain she felt the same way.
So why was asking her to confirm that with a ring so nerve-wracking?
He’d inked her name on his body. Hell, all the tattoos on his left
arm were dedicated to her. So why should putting ink on a piece of paper, a
marriage certificate, feel so much more important?

them. All that stands against them now is the city of Zyren, the last bastion
of Aelfan rule.
Acting as a spy for
Zyren is Grant Scotland, a man leading a double life because his own had been
taken away from him by the very people he serves. An unwilling recruit into the
business of clandestine missions and deceit, he searches for anything real to
cling to as the world around him devolves into insanity. And when an old friend
shows up asking him to help save his family by delivering a mysterious book to
a shadowy figure, Grant's two lives collide and he is thrust into an even
stranger world than he had known; one where ancient magic is wielded by deadly
players who compete against one another for a prize greater than simply the
rotting carcass of a dead empire.

future, he moves perilously close to revealing his identity and losing
everything.

hidden dangers soon confront him on his quest, but when he enters the dark
world of another family's intrigue, he finds that not even the frontiers of the

Spy for a Wayward Daughter
(Adventures of Grant Scotland, Book Three)
(Adventures of Grant Scotland, Book Three)
Her cool gray blue eyes studied me
and I might have sucked in my gut, but I couldn't be sure. I was too busy
trying to remember how to form complete sentences.
"Good afternoon . . . Uh, I'm
afraid you have me at a disadvantage," I finally managed to say.
"Marissa. Marissa Magnussen.
Berthul is my husband." Her voice matched her dress: smooth and inviting.
"Pleasure to meet you, Mrs.
Magnussen."
"Please, call me Marissa. Won't
you sit down?" She gestured at a nearby divan and I dutifully sat on it.
"Would you like a drink?"
"I suppose I would. Yes."
"I think Bertie has some
Macforth Glyn here," she said as she pushed away from the desk and walked
across the room to a sideboard and began fixing drinks. The drink cabinet was
on the opposite side of the room from where I was sitting and I was treated to
a nice view of Marissa's backside. The dress was backless, but Marissa's body
certainly wasn't. I spent so much time contemplating how the curves that met at
the base of her spine warranted closer inspection that she had to ask me twice
if whiskey was acceptable. I think I answered yes, but I'm not sure in what
language.
A smile briefly played across her
lips as she brought the drinks over, handed me one and then sat next to me on
the sofa. When she crossed her legs, I began to feel tense, but not in an
altogether unpleasant way.
"So . . . Is Mr. Magnussen
here?" My voice didn't quaver at all. I was becoming a man at last.
An
Interview with Dan McClure
Do
you ever wish you were someone else? Who?
-Strangely enough, I don’t. It’s not that I’m head over
heels in love with myself (although, I am) but rather that I’ve put too much
time and effort into being me to just give up on it now. Also, what would
happen if you really wanted to be famous person X and then jumped into their
skin and found out they had the herpes-syphilis-cancer-parasite? That would
suck.
What
did you do on your last birthday?
-I believe I went for a nice walk and then went to work
and got a free pizza, which was delicious! After that I went home and did the
usual amount of drinking to forget the pain.
What
part of the writing process do you dread?
-All of it. Seriously. Dorothy Parker said it best, “I
hate writing. I love having written.” But I guess the worst part of all is
getting half way through the first revision and realizing you basically need to
completely rewire the entire plot structure because it doesn’t make a lick of
sense.
Do
you ever suffer from writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it?
-It’s rare, but it occasionally happens. I go for a walk
and think about what I’d like to write about and what’s interesting about it.
By the time I’ve finished the walk I usually find I’ve got something to say.
Tell
us about your latest release.
-Spy for a Greedy Villain is the fourth installment in
The Adventures of Grant Scotland series. Racial tensions in Aelfa simmer and
threaten to boil over when the harbormaster is found dead and the Huthan
oppressors threaten to crack down in the Lower Docks. As Grant Scotland finds
more questions than answers in the journals of Berthul Magnussen about his
father’s treachery, he is drawn into a murder investigation, a kidnapping plot
and the nefarious machinations of the city’s biggest crime lord—Mr. Quinn. In
order to stop Quinn’s plans and save the city from being thrown into open
revolt, Grant prepares to take his biggest gamble yet.

Light in My Dark
by Jean
Gilbert and William Dresden
GENRE: YA
Fantasy
BLURB:
Sixteen-year-old
Harper Deveraux has longed for an adventure ever since her mother died of
cancer four years ago. Much to her dismay, she is stuck in Glen Eden, a small
mountain town in upstate New York that does little to fuel her hopes and
dreams.
Another year of high
school has begun, and with the Moon Dance only a few weeks away, Harper
suddenly finds herself torn between the affections of two boys: her best friend
Jack, and a new boy from the City named Knes who might not be from this world.
Strange things begin
to happen in Glen Eden when Harper uncovers a mystery that involved her mother
and a realm shrouded in darkness that lies beyond the wall... A realm that Knes
intends to take her to. Only Jack stands in his way.
Light In My Dark, is
an action-packed modern YA fantasy, filled with dark forces, love, and
self-discovery.
Excerpt:
A shadow disengaged from a tree and
moved into the twilight. It was a hooded man in black, one of the three that
were chasing him. In his hand glinted a curved sword. Jack turned to run but froze
when the second hunter approached from the other side of the clearing. He too
held a curved blade. Both men trained on him, stalking him.
"What do you want from
me?" Jack cried out.
Silence filled the forest.
The black clad hunters continued to
advance from both sides through the underbrush. When they came to the grass of
bluebells, they entered without hesitation and raised their swords in unison.
A strange melody danced up from
their knees as they moved to pin him in. Fear blinded Jack's mind as he scooted
to the center of the glade. The taste of bile came up into his mouth. He was
going to die. He knew it.
The hunters tightened their grips on
their swords, ready to strike down, when a silvery point suddenly jutted
through the chest of one of them. His stormy blue eyes bulged in shock as blood
spurted out around the point and poured down his black tunic. A grunt came from
his mouth. His sword fell to the ground as he grabbed the steel point sticking
out of his chest.
Behind him stood the pale-haired
man. In his hand, he gripped the sword that was thrust through the hunter's
chest. With a jerk, he pulled it free, letting the man drop to the ground in a
heap at his feet.
