Blog Tour: A Thin Slice of Heaven By p.m. terrell @pmterrell @GHBTours #Giveaway

A Thin Slice of Heaven
By- p.m. terrell
Genre-Ghost Story/ Romantic Suspense
Publication Date- May 1st, 2015

She had arranged to meet her husband in Northern Ireland for a second honeymoon, but when Charleigh arrives at the remote castle, she receives a message that he won't be coming-and that he's leaving her for another woman. Stranded for the weekend by a snowstorm that has blocked all access to the castle, she finds herself three thousand miles from home in a country she knows nothing about.
She is soon joined by Sean Bracken, the great-grandson of Laird Bracken, the original owner of the castle, and she finds herself falling quickly and madly in love with him. There's just one problem: he's dead.
As the castle begins to come alive with secrets from centuries past, she finds herself trapped between parallel worlds. Caught up in a mass haunting, she can no longer recognize the line between the living and the dead. Now she's discovering that her appearance there wasn't by accident-and is more sinister than she ever suspected.

Dream Cast:

If 'A Thin Slice of Heaven' was made into a movie and you could cast anyone you wanted, who would you choose ? No images required.

The actor I would select for the role of the Irish ghost, Sean Bracken, is an easy one. Hands down, it would be Santiago Cabrera. Currently, he is starring as Aramis in BBC's series, The Musketeers, in which he and Queen Anne have lit up the screen in romance. (See video https://youtu.be/Kl0ZZ7N4zGk)

Though Santiago was born in Venezuela, he grew up in London, Madrid, Toronto and Romania.

The role of Charleigh is a bit more difficult. She begins as a woman around 40 who, by her own admission, has a thickening middle and prematurely platinum hair. I pictured a young Judi Dench: classy and classic, proper yet passionate, a woman abandoned by her husband but able to fall in love almost immediately with the Laird of Brackenridge Castle, a man who passed away more than a hundred years earlier. (video: https://youtu.be/DB2qSGp6uKg)

Sean's wife could easily be played by Zoe Boyle. Fair-haired, light eyes, a classic beauty who served as Lady of Brackenridge Castle before her death.

Blog Tour: The Soul Thief (The Angel of Death Series # 1) By Majanka Verstraete @iheartreads @GHBTours #Review #Giveaway #DreamCast

The Soul Thief
The Angel of Death Series # 1
By- Majanka Verstraete
Genre- YA Paranormal
Published By- Booktrope Publishing
Published On- November 11, 2014

When sixteen-year-old Riley is injured in a car crash and sees a girl stealing a boy's soul, she's convinced she's hallucinating. But when she sees the same girl at the hospital later, she knows she wasn't dreaming. That's when Riley learns her secret heritage and who she really is: a halfling Angel of Death.

Riley must come to terms with her new reality and supernatural abilities, but before she can do this, girls her age start dying in mysterious circumstances. It's up to Riley to figure out why, what the innocent victims have in common, and what she can do to stop them.

Dream Cast-

Taylor Momsen as Riley

Taylor Momsen would be great at playing Riley – I’m sure of that after seeing her performance on Gossip Girl. They have the same build and hair color, although Riley rarely uses make-up, and Taylor usually does. But that’s easily fixed.

My Review-

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest review.

Riley is just a sixteen year old girl with some great friends and family. She finds out that she is half human and half angel. She has a hard time dealing with it and finding out that her mother may have cheated on her father and he is not her real dad. She realizes that her mother could have been raped and she didn't cheat on her dad but she is upset mainly because the man she grew up with thinking he was dad and now finds out he is not hurts her so much. He has been a great dad to her and has spent a lot of time with her where some dads don’t do this they leave the kids to the mother to deal with especially if they are a girl.

After finding out that she is half angel she has no idea what to do how to handle it. But she is assigned a mentor an angel to teach and train her about who she is now and what to do. This angel is all hotness and when Riley meets him her chin drops to the floor and her tongue comes out and slaps her brain out.

But she gets herself under control as much as possible that is. Her angel, Leander tells her that she is an angel of death and her job is to help people's souls make it to the right place. Leander also helps her with her new powers that has just awoken.

Riley has three great friends who are always looking out for her; for her own safety and because they care about her a lot. They all care about each and will do the same for anyone of their friends. All of her friends are great people but like all of us they each have their own little perks. They are always trying to get her to dress up a little especially when they go out but Riley is just a plain Jane kind of girl and clothes and make up is just not her thing. But Katie is all for her dressing up more but when she starts dating this guy at first she won't let them meet him. She wants to keep him all to herself but after she has been going out with for a while she decides that it is time to let her friends meet him. But she tells Riley to dress up a little bit but not too much because she is afraid that her boyfriend will see Riley and fall in love with her. She doesn't know Riley as well as she thinks or she would know that Riley is better than that and know she wouldn't take her boyfriend away from her. undoubtly she thinks Ryley is way prettier than she is or she wouldn't have this hang up about Riley over dressing around her boyfriend.

Now her friend Michelle is different she knows and pays more attention to her. She knows that Riley has changed and confronts her about it. Michelle is very determined to find out what is going on with her. She cares about her very much and wants to keep her safe.

Riley has a lot on her plate right now with just finding out who and what she is along with everyone and everything else in her life that is happening now. Someone is going around killing teenage girls. Riley and her new angel friends are going to help her find out who is killing these girls and why.
I loved reading The Soul Thief and learning about the angels of death and the reapers. I loved the comparison and the difference of the two and how they balanced each other out. Riley was a great person and I loved how plain Jane she was. I especially loved Michelle’s personality and her attitude as well. I loved how she could read Riley and could tell right away if she was sad, sick or hiding something. The Soul Thief is a must read for anyone who likes reading about angels, reapers, vampires or just about any kind of paranormal creature you can think of.

About the Author-
Majanka Verstraete begged her Mom to teach her how to read while she was still in kindergarten. By the time she finished fifth grade, she had read through the entire children's section of her hometown library.

She wrote her first story when she was seven years old, and hasn't stopped writing since. With an imagination that never sleeps, and hundreds of possible book characters screaming for her attention, writing is more than a passion for her.

She writes about all things supernatural for children of all ages. She's tried to write contemporary novels before, but something paranormal always manages to crawl in.

Majanka is currently studying for her Master of Laws degree, and hopes one day to be able to combine her passions for law and writing. When she's not writing, reading or studying, she likes watching "The Vampire Diaries" and "Game of Thrones," spending time with her friends, or playing "World of Warcraft."

Dream Cast-

If ‘Insanely Drawn’ was made into a movie and you could cast anyone you wanted- who would you choose?

Cade Collins would be Steven Strait (love him in the Covenant) and Sienna Kennedy would be Mila Kunis.

About the Author-

I was always the girl who spent most of her life living in her head, even at an early age. My made up worlds were so much more interesting than real life. In them, anything was possible. I could be a reckless archaeologist digging up a mummy who came to life, terrorize a medieval village by drinking all their blood, start an intergalactic war between rival planets, or ride a wild stallion with a hunky Native brave clad only in a breech cloth, all within the course of a weekend.

Life didn't stay simple. I had to grow up, get a job, became a wife and mother and put all my dreams on hold. After a change in my life, I found myself a single mom who had plenty of time to fall back into the land of make believe.

One night I opened up my computer and soon several novels were penned. Now I have embarked on a journey to become the person I always envisioned myself to be, an author, sharing my crazy ideas with the world.

Blog Tour: A Fine Line By Jeanine Binder @GHBTours #AFineLine

A Fine Line
By- Jeanine Binder
Genre- Contemporary/Romantic Suspense

Undercover narcotics. Lori had no clue how dirty this business really was until Dr. Leigh Matthews walked into his life, late-night in an emergency room. She was blonde, beautiful, and intelligent - to Lori's amazement she was just as happy with him and his job as he was. His father's financial success meant nothing to her. She was a bright ray of sunshine in an otherwise dismal world.

But as Lori prepares to bring down the largest drug operation in the county, can their love survive the stress of his long absences, the dangers of his job, as well as ultimate betrayal? Can they keep their relationship alive and well when the whole world turns upside down?

     photo Google-Play-colorfull-128.png

Enjoy an excerpt from A Fine Line:

Gang fights had to be one of the worst things they got in the emergency room. A whole bunch of teenagers, beaten up or worse, still trying to kill each other when they got to the hospital. Hospital security was not enough to handle it - local police had to be there to keep everyone calm so they could be seen and treated. The critical cases always went first - usually those were gunshot or stab wounds. Stabilizing them was the difficult part so the surgeons could fix the rest. Most of the time they bled out in the emergency room before they ever got to the OR.

After four hours of non-stop teenagers, Leigh was exhausted. It was past ten pm, more than three hours after she should have been off work on her rotation Saturday. But the cases had kept coming - there was no way anyone had been able to leave on time, and she probably would have been called in to help anyway, despite it being her day off, as they had called in one of the other ER doctors to help as the cases seemed to be never ending. Two deaths from gunshot wounds and one from a knife in the chest were the worst casualties - there were numerous other stab wounds and three more teenagers had been shot, although those hadn't been life threatening. There were also two toddlers who had been caught in the gang crossfire - both of the little kids were not critically injured and were going to survive. Leigh was thankful. She hadn't wanted to tell either set of parents their child had died.

Leigh left the hospital around eleven and, when she arrived home, she saw the familiar BMW parked next to her normal spot. She had given Lori a key the last time he had come up for air, as she called it - their relationship was at a point where she knew she could trust him. They'd been dating over four months. It had been almost a month since she had seen him last - at least he'd appeared hale that time, compared to the broken ribs and jail fight she'd seen before. Hopefully, everything had been going all right - she worried about him every time a gang riot or a drug overdose came in. She wasn't going to say anything contrary to him - but she would not be disappointed if he decided to do something different than undercover narcotics sometime in the not-so-distant future. A normal relationship was always a possibility.

Unlocking the front door, she went inside. There she found Lori sitting at the breakfast bar in front of a laptop, typing what appeared to be notes of some kind. Dropping her purse on a chair, she went over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist. She laid her head on his back, soaking in the warmth and smell of him. She felt like everything was right in the world, just holding onto him.

"Missed you," she said softly.

"I missed you, too," he told her, hitting save and closing the laptop cover. He moved out of her embrace long enough to stand then pulled her back into his arms, hugging her close.

She pulled back a little to look him over. "No visible bruises or broken bones. Just not sure if you need a haircut or a dog license though."

He laughed as she teased him. "No, I managed to get through this in one piece for a change. You're running pretty late tonight."

"Gang fight - was a huge, snarly mess."

"Usually are," he agreed, his mouth finding hers.

They made it as far as the couch. She could feel his need for her and there was no lingering involved. There was never any hesitation from her- they were enveloped in a mutual desire. When they were finished, they moved upstairs to the bedroom. Leigh was happy he was there. Things had been much easier when she wasn't in a relationship - there hadn't been anyone to miss. But she knew how she felt about Lori - she also knew he was pretty off about marriage. His failed attempt and the hassle with his ex-wife kept him fairly jaded about the process, although he no longer had to pay alimony since she had gotten re-married. For now she was good with what they had together. He was attentive when he was there and she was content in his arms. She was thankful for any time they had together - knowing the dangers of his job could make this his last.

Dream Cast from A Fine Line:

Lori Winslow - Chris Hemsworth

Leigh Matthews - Erin Chambers

Mike Parker - Chris Pine

Stan Jamison - Tom Selleck

Marco Melchori - Jean Reno

Rafael Montoya - Antonio Banderas

Book Soundtrack from A Fine Line:

The parts with Lori and Leigh - something soft and mellow. Alan Parsons, Herb Alpert, Tangerine Dream.

The parts with Lori interacting as Adrian Martin - more speed. Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Rage Against the Machine (maybe)

The end - playing "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac..
