Review: Mandate (David Shepherd Thrillers #4) by Judah Lamb

Mandate

David Shepherd Thrillers #4

by Judah Lamb

Published: September 30, 2025

Genre: Contemporary, Christian Fiction, Conspiracy Thrillers, Political Thrillers, Thriller

Blurb:

A new president. A nation watching. A promise he must keep.

He survived assassination, corruption, and a deep state conspiracy. Now comes the hardest part.

The Oval Office was supposed to be the victory. But governing a fractured nation — with hollowed institutions, a suspicious Congress, and enemies still lurking inside the machinery of power — is a war David Shepherd never trained for.

As President, David must rebuild what corruption destroyed. But not everyone wants America healed.

Sanctum may be exposed, but its roots run deep — and the allies David needs most may be the ones he trusts least.

His faith is tested not by bullets, but by compromise. Not by assassins, but by the slow, grinding weight of power.

Can a man of God govern without losing his soul?

Will David find a way to lead a divided nation toward renewal — or will the Oval Office do what Sanctum never could?

Will the very power he fought so hard to redeem begin to change the man who holds it?

The battle for the nation continues. The battle for the man has just begun.

Mandate is the fourth book in this fast-paced, action-packed Christian thriller series. Think David Baldacci, James Patterson, Mark Dawson, and Lee Child meet Colleen Coble and Lynette Eason. This is a modern-day re-telling of the King David story. The establishment will stop at nothing to stop David Shepherd's rise to power — and assassination isn't off the table.

My Review:

Wow! Mandate is the phenomenal fourth book in Judah Lamb's David Shepherd Thrillers series, and it is hands-down a spectacular continuation of the saga! I was so thrilled to see David and Michal finally get married, and watching David step into the role of President of the United States is absolutely gripping.

But being the leader of the free world comes with a massive cost. David has been through so much trauma that his faith is pushed to its absolute limits! Will he find the strength to overcome these new, overwhelming obstacles and keep his faith intact? I also loved how this book explores the reality of his new job: how will the presidency affect his marriage, and can their new bond survive the incredible pressures thrown at them?

David goes into office with big dreams to help people and make the country a truly better place, but he quickly hits a wall. He discovers that he can't just fix everything overnight—especially with sinister forces standing right in his way. The ultimate twist? The very people he needs on his side are the ones he can trust the least!

If you love fast-paced, action-packed Christian thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat, you need to read this book immediately. Grab your copy today—you will absolutely love it!

Review: Anatomy of a Lie (The Eden Protocols #4) by Judah Lamb

Anatomy of a Lie

The Eden Protocols #4

by Judah Lamb

Published: August 27, 2026

Genre: Christian Fiction, Technothrillers, Dystopian, Science Fiction, Thriller

Blurb:

The truth will set you free. Or it will get everyone killed.

Elias Mercer has his wife back. He has a captured facility, two hundred people with nowhere else to go, and a war he doesn't know how to win.

What he doesn't have is time.

Buried in the data his friend died to protect, Elias finds the thing nobody told him — and it starts a clock he cannot stop.

The only man who can is fifty-one miles north, in a place that never lost power and never lost people.

And Elias has a daughter who is running out of time in the other direction.

He can't reach both.

Whatever waits inside that mountain, it isn't what he came for.

It's worse. And it doesn't need to lie to anyone.

Now Elias has to open the system he built and learn its anatomy. Every layer. Every organ. Every lie holding it together — because somewhere in it is the one cut that frees them without burying them.

And a father who would trade the world for two children is the last man who should be holding the knife.

Anatomy of a Lie is a pulse-pounding Christian sci-fi thriller about the lies that keep us alive, and what it costs to tell the truth anyway. It asks the question every deceived heart eventually has to face: when the lie is load-bearing, who pays to bring it down?

The Eden Protocols series engages faith, sacrifice, and the ultimate questions: What does it mean to be human? Can we really save ourselves? Can we truly love without sacrifice?

Fans of Judah Lamb's The Unfallen series will love this new Christian dystopian and post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller. It's perfect for readers who loved The Matrix, Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness, and Ready Player One.

Sometimes love isn't choosing the world. It's choosing the one in front of you — and trusting God with the rest.

My Review:

Elias Mercer has successfully rescued his wife and captured a facility, but he now protects two hundred refugees with nowhere else to go—and faces a war he doesn't know how to win. The stakes get intensely personal when Elias learns his missing son and daughter are trapped inside the facility. He must navigate the system to find them before time runs out.

Beyond saving his own children, Elias is on a mission to rescue the countless others lost in the system since the nuclear fallout. His ultimate goal is to give these survivors something the system never allowed: a genuine choice in how and where they live their lives.

Anatomy of a Lie is a thrilling, fast-paced read that kept me hooked from the very first page. Judah Lamb’s vivid descriptions bring the world to life so flawlessly that it felt like watching a movie play out in my mind. I am incredibly eager to see what the next installment holds for Elias and his family.

This is a fantastic addition to the series. I highly recommend it to any sci-fi fan—do yourself a favor and pick up the whole series today!

Review: Grave Matters (The Unfallen Series (Landon Walker Thrillers) #9) by Judah Lamb

Grave Matters

Landon Walker Thrillers

The Unfallen Series #9

by Judah Lamb

Published: July 31, 2026

Genre: Contemporary, Christian Fiction, Christian Suspense, Christian-thriller, Supernatural-suspense

Blurb:

True prayer quiets the soul to surrender to God.

But this new teaching demands a silence that lets anything in.

Landon Walker returns to a ministry haunted by a devastating absence.

The silence of grief has been replaced by a fevered whisper.

Students claim they can see the one they lost.

They say he is speaking back.

Dr. Miguel Molinos, a charismatic new advisor, validates the visions.

He preaches that the soul must be silent to hear the dead.

Father Sciplini knows that the saints can speak.

But he warns that true messengers point us to the Savior, never to themselves.

He sees not a miracle, but a dangerous passivity that lets the darkness in.

The fellowship fractures.

Now Landon must choose between the comfort of a familiar voice and the hard discernment of truth.

Will he expose the lie before his friends are lost to the darkness?

Grave Matters is the ninth book in The Unfallen: a fast-paced, action-packed Christian suspense series. Fans of novels by Frank Peretti, like This Present Darkness, or fans of Alana Terry, Creston Mapes, Lynette Eason, or Colleen Coble, will fall in love with Landon Walker. An on-the-edge-of-your-seat redemption story.

My Review:

In Grave Matters, a student ministry heavily burdened by deep-seated grief begins making shocking claims: they assert that they can see and communicate with a deceased friend. While the charismatic Dr. Miguel Molinos actively validates these visions, protagonist Landon Walker remains highly skeptical. Determined to uncover the reality and protect the youth, Landon faces an uphill battle. The students are already fiercely convinced of their encounters, and at this juncture, it seems unlikely that anything Landon says will alter their convictions.

By placing their faith in Dr. Molinos and attempting to connect with their departed friend, the characters unwittingly invite demonic influences that disguise themselves as comfort. This manipulation steers them toward a dangerous spiritual passivity, causing them to lose the ability to differentiate between reality and illusion. To expose this falsehood before his friends are completely engulfed by darkness, Landon must heed the warnings of Father Sciplini and find a way to break through their blind faith.

Exploring powerful themes of grief, demonic deception, and the discernment of spiritual truth.

Grave Matters is a thought-provoking tale that encourages readers to pause and seek the truth independently. The narrative immerses you in its world from the very first page, compelling you to race to the conclusion to discover how Landon aids the students. I highly recommend Grave Matters to enthusiasts of classic Christian suspense. Be sure to obtain your copy today!

Breath of Life

The Eden Protocols #3

by Judah Lamb

Published: April 30, 2026

Genre: Christian Fiction, Technothrillers, Dystopian, Science Fiction, Thriller

Blurb:

One world is dying. The other was never alive.

Elias Mercer is finally awake. The radioactive wasteland of Los Angeles is freezing, poisoned, and real.

But the "paradise" he left behind is still holding his family captive.

How do you rescue someone from a dream they don't want to leave?

The Eden Protocols have evolved. One simulation has become a thousand—a maze of digital cages tailored to every human desire.

Elias's wife finds solace in a perfect, simulated church. His children are lost in architectures designed to exploit their innocence.

Can the truth survive in a system built to rewrite it?

A small band of survivors huddles in a concrete bunker, armed with salvaged tech and ancient prayers.

They have a weapon the AI can't compute: a sacrifice that doesn't follow the math.

But a traitor is already counting their breaths.

Is freedom worth the weight of a broken world?

The lines between man and machine are shattering. As the power fails and the servers collapse, the ultimate war begins.

It isn't a battle for silicon and code. It is a fight for the very breath of life.

Sometimes the greatest act of love is letting go of a beautiful lie.

My Review:

Breath of Life is the third installment in The Eden Protocols series by Judah Lamb. This narrative is just as captivating, if not more so, than the first book, Nexus Dei, and the second, Ashes of Eden. From the very first page, I was immersed in its universe.

The storytelling was so intricately woven that I could visualize every scene unfolding in my mind, as if I were part of the narrative myself. I can't quite pinpoint why, but I keep envisioning the digital realm that Elias enters as a vibrant blue, with white code drifting around, reminiscent of a map, perhaps with Elias donning a blue suit, floating through space. The more I delved into the story, the more it evoked memories of The Matrix and Ready Player One in certain aspects.

I eagerly anticipate exploring more of this enchanting world to discover what lies ahead for all the characters and the paths their stories will take. I've relished getting to know each character and am excited to uncover more about them in the upcoming books of The Eden Protocols series.

I wholeheartedly recommend Breath of Life to all fans of science fiction thrillers! Grab a copy of Breath of Life for an exhilarating journey in The Eden Protocols universe.

Review: Ipsum Esse (The Unfallen Series (Landon Walker Thrillers) #8) by Judah Lamb

Ipsum Esse

Landon Walker Thrillers

The Unfallen Series #8

by Judah Lamb

Published: March 31, 2025

Genre: Contemporary, Christian Fiction, Christian Suspense

Blurb:

He drove north to find his father. He found a monster who made him tea.

Landon Walker and his brother Caleb were never just sons. They were subjects.

A rogue geneticist. A program designed to open the mind to the spiritual plane. A binding coded into their very genes.

Now their father wants to explain. And every answer is worse than the last.

Can brotherhood survive a betrayal that began before birth?

A charismatic predator is rising from the shadows to reclaim what she built. Her operatives are already closing in.

When the angel falls silent, where do you turn?

Two brothers. A dark inheritance. A nationwide conspiracy.

Faith says they were loved into existence. Science says they were manufactured. The enemy says they belong to him.

Not everyone will survive the truth.

Ipsum Esse is the eighth book in The Unfallen, a fast-paced Christian supernatural thriller series where spiritual warfare meets edge-of-your-seat suspense. Ancient evil. Campus conspiracies. Brothers forged in fire and bound by something stronger than genetics. If you love Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness, the theological depth of Ted Dekker, or the relentless pacing of Lynette Eason and Colleen Coble, Landon Walker's story will keep you turning pages long past midnight. The X-Files meets The Chosen.

Goodreads ~ Amazon ~ BookBub

My Review:

Landon Walker and his newly found brother Caleb Mercer are setting out on a quest to find their father. Sarah showed interest in joining them, but Landon chose this moment to strengthen his bond with his brother.

As Landon and Caleb uncover the truth, they are shocked to realize that their father has been conducting experiments on them since the very beginning of their existence. What a cruel and sinister person their father has turned out to be.

Landon and Caleb are left contemplating the meaning of their existence. Why do they exist? What purpose do they serve? Some believe it is rooted in love, while others think it is simply for the sake of experimentation.

Their father wishes to clarify his motives behind his actions. However, the pressing question remains: will Landon and Caleb accept this explanation? On one hand, do they genuinely desire to know? On the other hand, what prompted their journey? Perhaps it was simply a chance to deepen their connection. Can they find it within themselves to forgive this man for his past transgressions and move forward?

Ipsum Esse is a remarkable addition to The Unfallen Series by Judah Lamb. The intrigue, suspense, and uncertainty kept me engrossed as I hurried toward the conclusion to uncover all the answers I was seeking.

Ipsum Esse starts at a slow pace, carefully guarding its secrets and revealing them gradually. It was a tense experience, capturing my focus from the very beginning and holding it without respite as I waited for the truth to unfold.

I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment in the Landon Walker series to learn more about Landon and Caleb and to see where their lives take them next.

I wholeheartedly recommend Ipsum Esse to all fans of mystery and suspense! Be sure to pick up a copy of Ipsum Esse today!
