A picture-perfect engagement getaway. A farm-to-table feast gone terribly wrong. And a killer hiding behind Thistledown’s wholesome façade.

Private investigator Hattie Leiper is looking forward to a relaxing autumn weekend celebrating her best friend Gracie’s engagement. With cozy cottages, colorful leaves, and pumpkins everywhere, Thistledown Farm & Table seems like the perfect escape.

Until several guests suddenly become violently ill.

Then purchasing manager Preston Whitmarsh is stabbed, and his dying words point Hattie toward a suspicious trail of invoices—and secrets someone desperately wants to keep buried.

As Thistledown’s promise of real food, real farms, real people begins to unravel, Hattie realizes there’s more on the menu than farm-fresh charm.

With Moose, Cecil, and Mini Pearl lending their own four-legged assistance, Hattie must harvest the clues and expose a killer before someone else becomes the next victim.

Because at Thistledown, not everything labeled “local” is what it seems.

Bonus Recipes Included.

My Review:

Murder, Pumpkins & Poison is the tenth book in the Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery series by Greta Sinclair, and it is an excellent continuation! I have been hooked on this series since the very first book, and I am always keeping my eye open for the next installment.

I absolutely love Hattie’s four-legged helpers: Moose, Cecil, and Mini Pearl. They are completely adorable! The banter between the three of them is fantastic, especially when they are worried about Hattie or bickering over something—they act just like little kids.

In this book, Hattie and Bo are on a weekend vacation at Thistledown Farm & Table to celebrate Gracie and Tim’s engagement. Hattie’s mother and Gracie’s parents have come along to join the celebration. I also can't forget to mention Gracie’s Meemaw Biscuit—she is a real character and exactly the kind of person you would want for your own Meemaw!

The author's descriptions are beautifully done. The cozy cottages, colorful leaves, and pumpkins everywhere came to life so vividly in my mind; it felt like I was right there witnessing it all instead of just reading it.

Everything goes perfectly until several guests suddenly become violently ill. Later, a scream echoes through the halls as purchasing manager Preston Whitmarsh is stabbed. His final words leave Hattie with clues about a secret someone was willing to pay a high price to keep hidden. Hattie, Bo, and her furry sidekicks must work together to solve the crime before anyone else becomes a victim.

The many twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat as I followed Hattie's investigation. What was so important that someone went to such extremes to keep Preston quiet? And who did it?

As with every book in this series, I highly recommend Murder, Pumpkins & Poison to all lovers of cozy murder mysteries. Grab your copies today and join Hattie and her companions as they solve each mystery!

Review: Murder, Speed and Sabotage (A Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery #8) by Greta Sinclair

Murder, Speed and Sabotage: A Nashville Thunder Prix Cozy Murder Mystery with Pets, Pit Crews & Peril

A Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery #8

by Greta Sinclair

Published: July 28, 2026

Genre: Cozy Mystery, Cozy Animal Mystery, Cozy Murder Mystery

Blurb:

The Nashville Thunder Prix promises speed, spectacle, and a rare weekend off for private investigator Hattie Leiper and Detective Bo Beckett.

What it delivers instead is a body, a wrecked car, and a killer who knows how to hide in plain sight.

When rising star Brad Cruise dies in a crash quickly ruled no accident, Hattie can't stay on the sidelines. Brad was a client of Tim, Gracie's boyfriend, and that's reason enough to get involved.

She trades her VIP pass for a pit pass and faces a suspect list as long as the racetrack itself: a vengeful ex-agent, a bitter rival, and a team owner with everything to lose.

With Moose, Mini Pearl, and Cecil along for the ride, Hattie has one lap left to catch a killer—before someone else crosses the finish line for the very last time.

Bonus Recipes Included!

MULTIPLE BESTSELLING AUTHOR AND THE 2025 GLOBAL BOOK AWARDS SILVER MEDAL WINNER FOR A VERY STICKY MURDER.

If you enjoy clean cozy mysteries like Tonya Kappes, Donna Andrews, and Diane Kelly, you'll love Murder, Speed & Sabotage. Each book in this series reads as a satisfying standalone: no cliffhangers, no unfinished threads, just cozy charm and clever sleuthing.

My Review:

In Murder, Speed, and Sabotage, Hattie, Bo, Gracie, Tim, and their delightful furry companions—Moose, Mini Pearl, and Cecil—head to the racetrack for an adrenaline-fueled adventure. The stakes skyrocket when Tim's client, rising racing star Brad Cruise, violently spins out of control. Was it a tragic accident or a calculated murder attempt?

Hattie and Bo, aided by Moose the grumpy Chow Chow, Mini Pearl the Yorkie, and Cecil the British Shorthair, dive headfirst into the investigation. With a long list of vindictive suspects, Hattie and Bo must untangle the web of sabotage to find the truth.

This book is a fantastic addition to the Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery series. Each installment completely stands alone as a charming, unique story with absolutely no cliffhangers.

There are so many suspects with motives to hurt Brad, which kept me guessing the entire time! The pets are incredibly sweet, especially when Moose does his best to comfort a sad Hattie. It is so heartwarming to see how the animals try to cheer up the humans.

The story is packed with amazing twists that kept me hooked and racing to the very end to see how it would all unfold.

I am so excited to see how Greta tops this one in her next book. If you love a great cozy mystery, you need to grab a copy of this book today!

My Review:

The Agnes Eady Cozy Mystery series by Tessa Parks continues strongly with Murder at Cresswell Castle. The story begins with unexpected twists and turns that keep the pages turning quickly. All the surprises that keep the story engaging immediately captivated me.

After inheriting a castle, Agnes Eady takes a walk along the cliffs with her cat, Blighter. Below, they see Owen, a man who has fallen off the cliffs. Unfortunately, Owen doesn't survive long after Agnes rushes to help him. Agnes does her best to save him.

Chief Inspector Ian Mullen claims that many people wouldn’t care about Owen's death. They might even celebrate his passing with a beer.

Being the person she is, Agnes starts investigating Owen's death and quickly finds that Ian was telling the truth, as many have hidden motives. Naturally, Agnes ignores Ian's warning to stay out of his investigation.

Someone is trying to stop Agnes from uncovering the truth, so the more she investigates, the more danger she faces.

Because it’s so engaging, Murder at Cresswell Castle is a fast-paced book that I couldn’t put down. I kept turning the pages quickly, eager to solve the mystery. As Agnes uncovers more clues, she realizes the danger is closer than she thought. Each new discovery not only brings her nearer to the truth but also increases the stakes, forcing her to face the shadows lurking in Cresswell Castle.

I can’t wait to read the next book in the Agnes Eady Cozy Mystery series.

I highly recommend grabbing a copy of Murder at Cresswell Castle today!
