Blurb:

A glittering jewelry store. A locked door. And a truth that’s been waiting decades to surface.

Alexia Jones expects a pleasant afternoon helping her best friend choose birthday earrings, until the jeweler is found dead in his locked shop the very next morning. The scene appears neat, the town is quick to judge, and most people seem relieved to move on. Everyone except Alexia…and her German Shepherd, Buddy, whose instincts warned her something was wrong from the start.

With Jenna’s humor keeping fear at bay and Buddy’s uncanny ability to notice what others dismiss, Alexia begins peeling back layers of polish, charm, and long-held grudges. A bitter son determined to expose his father’s sins and a rival jeweler preparing for a public reckoning each have compelling reasons to want the man silenced.

When hidden records and forgotten names resurface, Alexia realizes this wasn’t a crime of anger. It was a decision made long ago. And every step closer to the truth puts her in danger of becoming the next problem someone is determined to erase.

My Review:

Alexia and her closest friend Jenna head to a jewelry shop to pick out a birthday gift for Jenna. The following day, they return to have the gift engraved. Upon entering the store, Jenna discovers the jeweler, David Fowler, deceased.

It seemed that no one cared about the man's fate, except for Alexia and her loyal dog Buddy. Buddy, Alexia's steadfast companion, has assisted her in solving numerous mysteries. He has a knack for noticing details that others overlook and possesses an uncanny ability to read people. From their first encounter, he was wary of the jeweler, sensing something off about him.

As Alexia delved into her investigation, she uncovered a multitude of suspects—individuals who had motives to silence him. If she doesn't uncover the truth behind the man's death soon, she might find herself in grave danger.

Murder at the Jewelry Store captivated me from the very first page, as I tried to unravel the mystery surrounding the jeweler's demise. The story unfolded slowly, revealing its secrets bit by bit, keeping me engrossed in every sentence.

Alexia and Buddy's journey through the investigation kept me on the edge of my seat, making me feel as though I was right there with them, sharing in their emotions as they entered each room and took in their surroundings. The vivid descriptions were so expertly crafted that I could visualize every moment as if I were part of the story.

Murder at the Jewelry Store is a captivating story that I strongly recommend to all mystery fans!
