The Christmas Runaway Bride is a delightful addition to the Regency Runaway Brides series by author Daisy Landish. This series revolves around brides running from being forced into loveless marriages, who only want to be loved.
On her wedding day, Lady Isabella Hartley uncovers a shocking truth about her fiancé that she simply cannot accept, prompting her to escape. With the assistance of her brother Nathanial and sister-in-law Hester, she finds sanctuary at a charity school in London, where she takes on the role of a teacher and encounters a group of endearing children.
Reginald Winterbourne, the newly appointed Earl of Winterbourne, arrives at the school bearing gifts for the children. Together, Reginald and Isabella collaborate to ensure the children experience a joyful Christmas celebration.
