The first book in The Emily Stokes Series is entitled A Kiss for Emily. It's about a 17-year-old gal who lives in the heart of Kansas who's life is about to come unglued. It's YA, totally suspense-driven, and takes paranormal to a new level! If I tell you any more about the book, I'll have to include a spoiler alert because I can honestly say the less you know going into the story, the more you'll enjoy it! With that being said, here is the most I dare say:

MY REVIEW
A Kiss for Emily
The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I was given a copy of A Kiss for Emily from the author for a review via Full Moon Bites Book Tours.
When I read the title A Kiss for Emily I was thinking a kiss for Emily? What does this mean exactly? Does it mean her first kiss, her first real kiss or just a very special kiss? I just had to find out what was so special about A Kiss for Emily was all about. Well I not going to tell you which one it is because then I would be giving it all away. I don't want to spoil it for anyone. But I will say this if you read the book to find out for yourself you will not be disappointed. A Kiss for Emily will have you wanting to turn the pages as quickly as possible in order to find out if Emily is going to get her kiss or not.
Emily is just like all of the other girls her age she wants this one certain guy Alex to ask her to the prom. All of her friends tells her to ask him if he doesn't ask her. But Emily doesn't want it this way. I mean all the other girls have boyfriends that have asked them and Emily wants the guy to ask her not the other way around. That is just the way things usually work. The guys ask the girls. Yes, times have changed but Emily is a like an old fashion kind of girl. She has her own beliefs and should be respected for them.
Emily's dad buys a new house and Emily thinks her dad has destroyed her life. She is very upset with her dad about the new house. Sure her friends will tell her that they will stay in touch but most of the time people just move on with their lives. They find new friend and hang out with them and your old friends just become part of your past. Besides all of that Emily is in love with Alex. She thinks if she moves away she will lose him.
Emily is a city girl not a country girl and their new house is in the country. Emily thinks there is nothing to do in the country. But she is a city girl and it is all she knows. She doesn't know anything about the country so therefore she is going to hate it. And hate it she definitely does until she goes for a walk in the forest and meets Sam. A very good looking guy. Sam is a farmer and has a very nice body. A well formed body with the physique of a cowboy. Will Emily get the kiss that she has been wanting from Sam? Or will she get her kiss from Alex? I am not going to tell you. You will just have to read A Kiss for Emily to find out.
- About the Author
J P began writing her first novel back in 2009 after a work related injury took her out of the job market. Foreign to writing literature, her rough draft read more like torture than paranormal. Although the plot had been solid, not until she joined a local writer's group did the book really begin to blossom.
She currently enjoys a successful writing career and was recently featured as the April 2012 Author of the Month in the Paranormal Romance Guild.
