It was just another day of paw-prints and vintage sales—until a dead body landed on my to-do list.

Returning from Mabel’s walk, I find her owner, Eloise, skewered with an antique letter opener I just sold.

Detective Caleb warns me—again—to keep my nose clean, but I can’t resist diving into the weapon’s past.

With Teo, my Teacup Chihuahua in tow, I find out that Eloise had enemies of her own.

Her cryptic journals about her colleague, Ramona, threaten to disclose the wellness retreat’s dangerous treatments.

Burnt files prove Felicity, the real estate agent, was forging death certificates and had a hand in Sila’s estate sales full of stolen items.

And a local collector suddenly turns their weapon stash into show-and-tell.

As the danger rises, my boutique turns into clue-central, notes threaten Claire, and heated arguments suggest I am next.

This killer will stop at nothing to silence anyone who may expose them. Can I? Or will my meddling cause me to become the next disposable antique?

My Review:

Signed, Sealed and Stabbed captured my attention from the first page and never let go. I had so many questions that needed answers; I didn’t know which one to ask first as I read through. The more I read, the more I wanted to keep going. With each twist and turn, the characters became deeply woven into a web of intrigue that kept me guessing. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, a new revelation would come to light, turning my expectations upside down. Once I started, I didn’t want to stop, but life has a way of throwing obstacles in my path.

In addition to running a boutique, Penelope Sinclair also takes dogs for walks. Did I also mention that she enjoys solving mysteries in her spare time and is known as a murder magnet?

When Penelope returned after walking Eloise Turner's dog, Mabel, she discovered Eloise lying in a pool of her own blood with a letter opener lodged in her. The letter opener was instantly recognizable to Penelope as one bought from her shop.

Penelope discovered the pages of the sale had been torn out when Detective Caleb Grant brought Penelope back to her boutique to retrieve the letter opener's receipt and determine who had purchased it.

It was at this point when all of my questions began to surface. Who tore out the pages, for example? Was it done to conceal the identity of the murderer? Or did they want to keep someone safe? Was the individual who purchased the letter opener the one who committed the murder? Was the letter opener given as a gift?

It might have been taken from the buyer, or it might have been sold later. I was rushing to the end to find all the answers because there were so many questions. I was captivated from the first page by the mystery and suspense alone.

Signed, Sealed and Stabbed has many twists and turns as well as numerous suspects with countless reasons for wanting to harm Eloise.

I highly encourage all murder mystery fans grab a copy of Signed, Sealed and Stabbed today!

1242. Wounded and captured after the Battle on the Ice, English knight Richard Fitz Simon becomes the unlikely guest of Prince Alexander Nevsky of Novgorod. Curious about his prisoner, Alexander commands his scholar to record Richard’s tale.

Richard’s story begins in 1203, when betrayal shatters his path to knighthood and drives him from England to the merchant city of Lübeck. There, entangled in an illicit affair and the cutthroat salt trade, he finds only temporary refuge. Fleeing once again, he joins the Livonian Brothers of the Sword—a militant order sworn to spread Christendom across the pagan Baltic.

Amid the cold austerity of Riga’s commandery and the looming threat of enemy tribes, Richard must battle not just for survival, but for meaning in a life shaped by violence, doubt, and fractured loyalties. EXCERPT:

Celestine Sinclair hated being a murderer.

She hated blood dripping through her fingertips and clumping in her hair. She hated watching poison devour a body, and the feeling of her hands stretching around a slender throat.

Everything about murder was ghastly, but if she had to choose, her favorite way to kill was suffocation with a pillow while a person was drugged and unconscious. It was two and a half minutes of hell—hell she deserved for the act—but at least it was quiet and didn’t leave a mess.

Celestine loathed messes.

Unfortunately, the very nature of her profession required much more theatrical deaths. The audience didn’t come to Wolfsbane Hall to watch, as they put it, dull and tedious deaths; no, like vultures, the rich, pompous pricks wanted carnage.

They wanted a show.

So, Celestine Sinclair would give them one. That was her one objective as an actress at the infamous nightclub: show above all else.

Show above one’s own sanity.

“You’re wasting time,” said a voice forged from darkness, twisting from the room’s shadows. It was glazed in honeyed whiskey. Sweet yet potent.

The Specter—the magical and mysterious owner of Wolfsbane Hall, the glittering palace at the edge of San Francisco, filled with as much mystery as magnificence. It was a place patrons became a part of a murder mystery show. Glitter, grandeur, and witchcraft were laced into every inch of the manor, interwoven into a tapestry of entertainment.

“You must prepare for your next murder,” the Specter said as a whisper in her ear, darkness twirling and cloaking her from the patrons meandering into the Grand Ballroom—the club’s showroom.

“I know, Specter,” Celestine breathed.

Author Bio:

Hazel St. Lewis is a Northern California-based Romantasy author. Diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age, she struggled to read and write, but fantasy stories inspired her to start storytelling. Unfortunately, now, she is a little too obsessed with morally gray characters. When she isn’t writing, she can be found playing with her hoard of cats (too many to count…it’s a problem), singing songs to said cats, or painting.

A Vacation Splashed With Murder

A Chloe Lane Cozy Mystery #5

by Daisy Belle

Published: July 30, 2025

Genre: Crime Fiction, Mystery, Murder, Crime, Mysteries

Blurb:

My vacation turned into a murder investigation before I could tip the waiter. All I wanted was to dip my toes in the ocean, not find a body floating in it.

When my best friend Rosie invited me and the gang to a seaside getaway all I wanted was tan lines and pastries.

But after a cutthroat businessman is pulled from the ocean from the side of our yacht we find a guest list of secrets.

As we sail back to port everyone starts pointing fingers with most of the crew wanting to throw the victim overboard themselves.

The suspects are glamorous, the motives are scandalous, and the murderer clearly wants the truth to stay buried at sea.

With Peanut, my four-legged partner in crime-solving and my gang ready for a conspiracy we’ve opened a case file named Murder with the Rich and Extravagant.

When a mysterious star witness disappears and clues we find start mimicking a local author’s mystery books we wonder if he’s the key to how this ends.

We must find a killer before more bodies float out to sea.

My Review:

Chloe's closest friend, Rosie, invites her, along with Daniel - Rosie's partner, and Aiden - Chloe's significant other, for a beach retreat. Chloe is eager to unwind and bask in the sun, but before she can indulge in relaxation, the lifeless body of Elliot Grayson is retrieved from the sea, bearing a stab wound. It appears that Elliot didn’t accidentally fall overboard.

Suddenly, everyone aboard the yacht becomes a suspect in Elliot's murder. Chloe, Rosie, Daniel, and Aiden team up with the local authorities to investigate the crime. Their investigation uncovers a missing girl who worked in the kitchen, as well as numerous clues and potential motives.

The list of suspects brings forth numerous clues and a variety of individuals with ample motive to wish harm upon Elliot. The captivating mystery keeps the group on their toes as they try to uncover the truth behind Elliot's untimely demise. But did any of them actually take his life? Who was responsible for Elliot's death?

The intrigue and tension surrounding Elliot's murder kept me captivated as I tried to solve the mystery alongside Chloe, Rosie, Daniel, Aiden, and Peanut, Chloe’s adorable dog.

Readers can look forward to more thrilling adventures with Chloe, her dog Peanut, and her friends in the upcoming installment of the Chloe Lane Cozy Mystery series.

I highly recommend that all fans of murder mysteries pick up a copy of this incredible whodunit today!
