Book Blitz: The Princess Of The Wraiths by Peregrinus Hierusalemsis @RABTBookTours

Memoir

The Princess of the Wraiths is a captivating memoir that weaves science, spirituality, and personal triumph into a vibrant tapestry of life’s deepest questions. Born in Mexico City, Peregrinus Hierusalemsis confronts childhood terrors—sparked by a chilling visit to the mummies of Guanajuato and a fear-inducing teacher—that leave him grappling with post-traumatic stress. A mystical experience at an ancient monastery becomes his turning point, igniting a lifelong quest for meaning.

As a shy teenager, Peregrinus faces heartbreak over Verónica, only to find solace in philosophy through his friend Emilio, shielding him from the clutches of a drug cartel infiltrating his school. Relocating to the United Kingdom, he falls for Jana, whose guidance fuels his success in biology studies, but a toxic relationship with Birgitta tests his resolve. Armed with philosophical wisdom, Peregrinus confronts an enigmatic “Princess of the Wraiths,” determined to conquer his fears and reclaim his strength.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Mexico’s cultural richness, the UK’s academic halls, and Sweden’s serene landscapes, this memoir vividly describes the biodiversity and ecosystems Peregrinus explores as a biologist. While science and spirituality are thoughtfully explored, they remain distinct, with scientific accuracy meticulously preserved. Written with literary finesse, this accessible yet rigorously academic narrative invites readers into a true story of resilience, love, and existential discovery—a journey that resonates with anyone seeking to overcome fear and embrace life’s mysteries.

About the Author

I studied biology, but I am also interested in philosophy and spirituality. I have worked in some labs as a molecular biologist. I have also been interested in systematics, so I have published some scientific papers on such a subject. I am from Mexico, but I have also worked in labs in the United Kingdom and Sweden.

Originally, I used to write essays at university. Later, I wrote scientific papers. It was not until I solved a difficult issue in my life that I became a writer of books. I was able to free myself from a toxic relationship. That was a success because I was never able to do that during previous experiences. I thought the messages that I wrote to finish that bad acquaintanceship were very important, so I transferred them from my mobile telephone to a Word document. Then I wanted to add a paragraph to explain the meaning of the messages. A paragraph was not enough, so I ended up writing what became chapter 28 in my book. After that, I wanted to add more background. I ended up writing a whole memoir! I hired 5 different proofreaders in Fiverr. Four of them were American. One was British. Then I commissioned 94 handmade paintings to illustrate my book.

Review: Dragon Law (The Ochre Dragon Shifter Series #5) by Lilliana Rose @LillianaRose2

Dragon Law

by Lilliana Rose

Published: August 18, 2025

Genre: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Dragons, Mythical Creatures

Blurb:

I escaped to a mountain hut to heal, not to find him. Kallin. Intense, impossible, and with a body that screamed trouble. One look from his burning golden eyes and my careful plans went up in smoke.

He’s a storm I can’t control, all scorching heat one minute, then gone like a ghost the next. There’s something
off about him, something under his skin that terrifies and fascinates me in equal measure. I should run. Fast.

But then
a man appears in a slick suit with cold eyes, talking about ‘clans’ and ‘leashes.’ Suddenly, Kallin’s secrets aren’t just his anymore. They are a threat. And I’m caught in the crossfire.

He’s awakened something fierce and reckless inside me, something I thought my scars had buried. Now, faced with a truth that could destroy everything, I have to decide whether to play it safe or dive headfirst into the fire with a man who might be more monster than human.

My gut screams this is crazy. My heart? It’s already his.

My Review:

Kallin had received multiple warnings regarding his temper and how to manage his dragon from Ezra, the leader of the clan. As a result, Kallin is sent off to the mountains to learn to control both his rage and his dragon.

While her knee was healing, Ara made her way to the mountains. She is fleeing from her past and the numerous scars it left behind. She never anticipated encountering someone like Kallin, who sparked a flame within her.

Kallin was aware of the clan's regulations concerning relationships with humans, as they are deemed too fragile for dragons. However, Kallin seldom adheres to authority. Each time they are together, the intensity of their connection grows stronger.

Dragon Law serves as an excellent continuation in Lilliana Rose's The Ochre Dragon Shifter universe. The numerous twists and surprises kept me engaged, eager to discover how Ara would confront Kallin's secret. And what about all the mysteries from Ara's past? I was excited to uncover what they were and what shaped her into who she is today.

The vivid descriptions were so immersive that I felt like I was experiencing everything in real time. I had no difficulty picturing it all in my mind. Dragon Law proved to be just as gripping and enthralling as the other installments in The Ochre Dragon Shifter series.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dragon Law to all enthusiasts of dragon shifters! Make sure to grab a copy today!

Book Blitz + #Giveaway: Firelight Days by Savannah Pryce @XpressoTours

Firelight Days
Savannah Pryce
Publication date: August 3rd 2025
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

When wildfires force an evacuation in her small town, baker and loner Penny Ridgeman seeks refuge at the only place she feels safe – Jack Olsen’s family ranch in Eastern Oregon. For years, Penny has seen Jack as just a friend – even if he is, inconveniently, the most attractive man she knows. But just like you shouldn’t mix-up salt and sugar in a cake, she believes that mixing love and friendship is a recipe for disaster.

Jack has always admired and respected Penny’s need for solitude. And, as the town handyman, builder, and cat-in-a-tree-rescuer, he prides himself on being able to fix and figure out anything. But he can’t understand why Penny holds herself back in her work. He can’t see what’s behind those stubborn, thick walls she keeps up. And he can’t work out, for the life of him, why suddenly he can’t stop thinking about her.

As the days stretch into quiet nights on the ranch, Penny and Jack start to see each other in a new light – one Penny is certain can only lead to getting seriously burned. With the world around them on fire and only each other for company, they find themselves in a whirlwind of emotions neither expected.

As the fire threatens to consume everything, Penny and Jack must decide whether to risk their friendship for something deeper… or will that go up in flames, too?

EXCERPT:

Penny had never been in the car with Jack alone for this long. He’d given her rides here and there, of course, a ride home on a rainy day sometimes. But today, the energy felt totally different—of course, they were evacuating. She hadn’t seen him so pensive and on edge since right before he had broken up with Valerie a few years ago. She didn’t like it. She was used to seeing Jack as easily confident, relaxed, and always sure he could take care of anything. And she hadn’t realized until this second how much she’d come to just rely on that, even if they were just friends and saw each other for twenty minutes a day, usually.

He took a long drink from his bottle, relishing the cold washing down his suddenly dry throat. Was it possible that, deep down, maybe she had feelings for him? Was it possible that underneath it all, he actually had feelings for her?
Or was this just what happened to two people who happened to be stuck riding out a natural disaster together?

Penny decided there wasn’t just an elephant in the room between her and Jack. That was too small. It was more like a brontosaurus in the room. No matter how busy she kept herself, nothing distracted her enough from the big, fat, unavoidable presence growing larger and larger in her mind.
Jack.
