Blurb:

In present day New York, a woman is writing her memoirs...

Born in 16th century Hungary, Damita wasn't always known by her current name. A human monster with absolute power, she murdered and tortured for pleasure.

After her confrontation with Darvulia, she thought that blood could reverse any sign of aging. And in her death, she was raised by her vampire lover, Anton.

Spanning centuries and concluding in modern day, this is the story of Damita, previously known as Erzsebet Bathory - The Blood Countess.

Excerpt:

“Bathory, now an immortal vampire, has existed for centuries. In modern day New York, she and her lover and creator, Anton, own clubs that offer unusual entertainments. After World War 2 vampirism was made legal. This excerpt concerns an interview at her club:

I was to interview new performers for our blood club. You had already interviewed them. I was pleased for I knew if they got past you, they would be suitable. They looked attractive. Full-lipped and sensual, both of them. They greeted me respectfully, which I liked. “You wish to work here?” I asked. They did. “You must be up to it.”

“We are,” they assured me, speaking in unison. I invited them to perform an audition.

“There is a girl waiting. She knows what is expected.” Then, glancing at you, I smiled. When you smiled back, I knew it was going to be a successful audition. The girl was lying on the bed, naked, patiently waiting. We sat at a table. “You may begin,” I spoke pleasantly, and not with the tone of an order, which in reality it was.

After a few moments, our applicants appeared. I was pleased they’d shed all their clothes. Some vampire actors really are a waste of time. These two weren’t. They were handsome, too. The woman had full breasts, not artificially enlarged but naturally full, which is so much better for our purposes. The man was already erect and holding himself. He was quite endowed, but not too big.

Then, in the most graceful of movements, they fell upon the girl, their hands and mouths moving slowly over her body, paying particular attention to her breasts and the area between her legs. I began to touch myself as I watched, aroused.

You leaned over and whispered, “Je t’aime,” as you reached into my blouse to touch my breast. “Not now,” I said. You sighed to show me how disappointed you were. You are such a manipulator. They would feed now. Some blood oozed out as they bit into the girl’s white flesh. She responded by crying out in a mixture of pain and pleasure. That was good. I made a note. They knew enough to feed gently. She started to tremble and moan but that was because Danielle was always responsive. I had taught her to be; that is, you and I both did. These applicants fed for quite a while. I stood up to catch a better view. We didn’t want something untoward happening.

You realized I was worried and mumbled something that sounded reassuring. They changed places once again; this they did a few times. The feeding had excited them and they were in no rush to finish. I went to make certain Danielle was all right because there was a great deal more blood now. She saw me and smiled. “I feel good,” she said.

I smiled, grateful to have such a professional human performer in our special theater. You were watching us. When I looked up at you and saw your demeanor, I understood. “If you would care to spend the evening with us, Danielle,” I said, “it would be a pleasure to have you. Lucerne will be there.” What a leading comment that was. She was delighted. The two had been lovers for a long time. As for our new performers, they had already been summoned to see you. You would tell them when to report and how they were going to be compensated. As vampires they not only fed pleasurably, but they would be financially compensated..."

NOTE: The novel is written by Bathory to jolt her lover and creator, Anton’s memory. He has gone into a semi unconscious state after one particular horrendous murder.

My Review:

In I, Bathory, Queen of Blood we have the pleasure of meeting and reading the memoirs of Erzsebet Bathory known as The Blood Countess as told in her own words. At a very young age Erzsebet is married to Ferenc Nádasdy who takes her name after they are married as her name is more well-known and higher up than his. They have three girls and two boys before he passes away around the age of forty three.

Erzsebet has an addiction one of which she does try to control but that is one battle that she just can’t seem to get a handle on. You see Erzsebet has a very dark side to her where she likes torturing and killing people while having sex with them at the same time. She also likes taking baths in their blood she believes that it makes her skin look smoother and younger.

When she is finally caught she is locked up behind four walls for her heinous crimes and left there to live out the remaining days of her life. Right before she expires she is rescued by her creator Anton. After he turns her into a vampire Erzsebet continues on with her addiction. At first she tries to keep it secret from Anton but that seems to be impossible.

Anton wants to help Damita (What Anton calls Erzsebet) to gain control over her addiction and he does help her for a while but then it starts all up again. Anton loves Damita so much that he can’t refuse her anything so after the bodies start to pile up he decides to help her get rid of them. He has now become and enabler.

I, Bathory, Queen of Blood is not the first book my Carole Gill that I have read and I hope it won’t be the last. When Carole first contacted me about reading one of her books she told me they were very dark in case I wasn’t up for reading something of that nature well I don’t remember her exact words but I guess that one word will do. I was like ok I love dark, bloody and gory stuff the gorier and bloodier it is the more I like it and you know what Carole did not shock me in the least I loved every minute of it. Actually I could have dealt with it if it had been even bloodier and gorier.

Now I’m not a bad person I wouldn’t even hurt a fly well unless he got in my way or messed with my food that is then I might. The point being how could anyone that couldn’t hurt a fly like something of this nature? Well you know what I can’t answer that but one think I do know and that is that it is ok it is not a problem. But I was born in the horror month maybe that is what it is. Ok, ok enough about me now let me say if you like things of this nature; like a lot of blood, torture, lots of sex and killing then I, Bathory, Queen of Blood is the book for you. Review of Justine: Into The Blood (Blood and Passion Book 1) By Carole Gill @carolelynngill

Justine: Into The Blood (Blood and Passion Book 1) By Carole Gill
Published September 3, 2014
Pages 242

Blurb:

Born in pre-Revolutionary France and orphaned as a child, Justine Bodeau is taken in by a family friend who employs her as a seamstress. Eventually, she winds up to work in the court of Queen Marie Antoinette.

A strong-willed survivor, defeat does not occur to her. When she fights off an attack by an aristocrat and kills him, she is given refuge but is soon betrayed and winds up on the streets of Paris, where she is attacked and killed by rogue vampires. But for whatever reason, love will not let her die.

Justine goes from wishing to be destroyed to wanting to survive, when she feels passion for the one who brought her back, Gascoyne — the one they call the Vampire Prince of Paris.

Excerpt:

I spoke to Anat at last. I found her to be a strange Vampire, indeed. Her English wasn’t too good and we could not converse in French or in Egyptian so we plodded on as best we could with Ramet translating.

“You are his friends,” she said. “You and your love. Ramet told me. I am so pleased—it is a relief that can almost not be felt after such a long time. One gets accustomed to suffering and joy or relief seem to be diseases.”

I agreed and told her of my existence. She said she had been in Morocco in the past—centuries earlier. It sounded the same sort of set up I had experienced.

“There was love for me, or lust shall I say. Those sultans are gifted in the art of love and many of them have Vampire mistresses and harems. It is an odd craving they have. Still, humans differ as Vampires do.”

We spoke of the plague next and she said as Ramet did, she recalled many such plagues, adding there would always be more. “I did think,” she said, “that they were the result of wars, too. It is an outlandish thing, is it not? It seems the gods punish humans for their violence and turn them into monsters. . . ”

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Justine loses both of her parents at a young age. She loses her mother at the age of ten and her father four years later. She was taken in by a family friend where she learned how to sew. After many years her work as a seamstress is discovered by the Queen who then takes her in and gives her a job as a seamstress. Justine loves living at the palace with the Queen until she is attacked and runs away because she is afraid.

This night starts a long journey for Justine one she is not sure she wants to travel but has no choice. One dark night of her journey Justine is attacked again but this time she is attacked by rogue vampires but along comes Gascoyne her one and only true savior. He brings her back from the dead to live a new life a life of eternity. She is now a vampire but she is different than the vampire that attacked her she is like the vampire that saved her.

When she is first turned Justine is very upset about it and his mad at her creator and hates who she has become. She hates the dark person that she is now. But she soon learns on her journey with all of the things that she has to endure and all of the things that she sees that all creatures' humans and vampires are all alike. She learns that there are good vampires and humans but there are also bad humans and vampires. She learns that some have hearts and some don't. She learns that it doesn't matter if you are a human or a vampire that you can love and just because she has been turned into a vampire doesn't mean that she can't feel love in heart and she can care about someone human or vampire.

I have had the privilege of reading Carole's novels The Blackstone Vampires and was very happy when she asks me if I wanted to read Justine: Into the Blood. I love reading about vampires and have loved reading Carole's books. Carole knows how to pull you into her novels and make you feel as if you are one of the characters yourself. You feel as if you are standing off to one side watching and listening to everything that is going on. I love dark, gothic and horrific stories. The bloodier and gross they are the more I love it. If you like these things as well then you are going to love Justine: Into the Blood plus you will also love The Blackstone Vampires as well.

Review of The Fourth Bride (The Blackstone Vampires Series, #4) By Carole Gill @carolelynngill

 photo FourthBrideThe-CaroleGillCover.jpg

The Fourth Bride (The Blackstone Vampires Series, #4) By Carole Gill
Published January 12th 2014 by Carole Gill
Pages 192

Summary from Goodreads:

After the tragic and sudden death of her groom, Dia, cursed by Dracula as a babe, is taken to his castle. Once there, she is seduced and turned by the count, and she becomes his fourth bride. The other brides are to be her sisters, and they are all to love and feed upon one another. As her master says: "The joy is in the blood...the passion is in the blood...endless life is in the blood...!"

And so she finds it is.
Dia's tale is full of erotic sex and graphic violence. It is a tale of love and lust but mostly of blood, for the blood is everything.

Excerpt:

We boarded a ship bound for Italy. The ship's captain married us. Edward had arranged it. I recall the service-joyful and full of light and flowers, a wedding breakfast and congratulations. We spent the day on deck, gazing out at the sea, watching the sunlight shimmering upon it. And when the sun sank into the horizon, we dressed for dinner.

When night fell and we were alone, I opened myself to him in our cabin. I, the new bride, the young woman who desired love and romance and my husband's heart, did wish to know what love was like, but he was ill. Something had seized him and sickened him. At first I thought it seasickness, but when he didn't get better and grew more pale and listless, I called for the ship's doctor.

"Your husband is quite ill, Madame. The captain is docking at Bilbao, in Spain. I will accompany you to the infirmary there."

The hospital was not far from the dock. I wanted so to go inside with him, but was told to wait outside.

The doctor returned later. I knew from the expression on his face that my worst fears were realized. "Señora, he is gone. I am sorry; it is a fever of unknown origin and he has passed from this world."

I laughed, oh yes I did a crazed cackle, and then I was silent. I stared at faces and saw that people were speaking to me, but I could not hear a word!

Until... "They will need to make arrangements. I can help. ... Will you be wishing to have the body sent on...?"

I broke down and it was decided he would be buried. Mercifully, there would be no autopsy.

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Dia was cursed by Dracula as a baby while her mother was killed. Rose and Louis Darton took Dia in at that time to love and raise her as their own. Rose and Louis had two children of their own Simon and Ada. Rose, Louis, Simon and Ada were all vampires with the exception of Louis being half-vampire/half-demon. As Dia grew into adulthood her brother and sister would never would. They will always remain children as they are vampires while Dia is not.

Dia met and fell in love with a nice young man by the name of Edward. While on their honeymoon poor Edward took sick and died. Dia was all alone until she was kidnapped by Dracula and taken to his castle to become his fourth bride, which she was destined to since she was cursed as a baby. Dracula had three other wives whom lived with him at the castle. They are sisters and were actually real sisters when they were turned. After taking Dia to his castle Dracula turned Dia into a vampire and she became his fourth bride. At first Dia was very upset and scared but eventually she learned not to be afraid of Dracula and she learned to love him in her own way. Dracula loved Dia very much or as much as he ever could with his dark and evil twisted heart.

The sisters were very jealous of Dia and did not like her at all but that was ok because Dia didn't like them either. She was just as jealous of them if not more so. So Dracula decided to take her away so just the two of them could be together so that it would be just the two of them and she wouldn't have to put up with the sisters.

Dia suffers through a lot of heartache and tortious things. She is made do unspeakable things that she would never dream of ever doing. The Fourth Bride is filled with so much evil, mind numbing events that will leave you with your mouth hanging open. If you are easily given to nightmares then I suggest that you read The Fourth Bride with the lights on and under no circumstance read it alone. Well unless you are like me and you love reading scary, gory and bloody books. If I dreamed about The Fourth Bride and I woke up right in the middle of it I would be so upset. I would want to go back to sleep so I could finish my dream. I would probably be laughing when I woke up. Not because I don't have a heart or care about people and things I do very much but hey I love horror. I was born in the horror month and love it.

Have you read The Blackstone Vampires? If you have not then you do not know what you are missing. The Blackstone Vampires is one series you definitely need to check out! It is an amazing series! Carole Gill is an awesome author and knows how to scare the living daylights out of you. And to me that is one fantastic book and author!

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Rose lived in a house with madness. Her father had lost his mind or maybe he was just a mean man. Rose was always glad to hear him say he was going out for a stroll that meant that he would not be in the house for a while. Rose her mother and her siblings were always walking around on tip toes always afraid of setting him off and then he would be mean to them. Any word could set him off. Rose never knew from one day to the next if her father was going to mean to them or not. Rose didn't know if she could ever remember a time when her father was not mad or not mean to them. She didn't know if he ever being good was just a dream or if it was real.

Rose had to go and stay with her aunt one day to take care of her. She was very ill and was dying. Upon her return home Rose went into her home and found that someone had killed everyone in her family. When she went in the house she found all of them dead. Her mother, father and her siblings were all gone.

I have read the first three books in The Blackstone Vampire Series and truly enjoyed all of them. I am glad that I have finally gotten around to reading Dreams of a Vampire. I am glad that I found out what happened on the night that Rose lost her family.

Review of Unholy Testament - Full Circle By Carole Gill

Unholy Testament - Full Circle

by Carole Gills

Unholy Testament Full Circle Cover photo UnholyTestament-FullCircle-CaroleGill.jpg
Genre: Gothic Romance/ Paranormal
Publisher: Gothic Rose Press
Release Date: March 3rd 2013

Book Description:

BOOK 3 IN THE BLACKSTONE VAMPIRES SERIES All of the hideous secrets of Blackstone House and its inhabitants are revealed in this, the third book in The Blackstone Vampires Series.

Rose Baines continues to be held captive by the demon Eco (Unholy Testament – The Beginnings) and must read the rest of his journal which is a confession of all of his sins.

The rest of the journal focuses on the characters that have haunted Rose’s living life and undead existence. But primarily, Eco’s journal tells of the sick and twisted obsession he has had for Blackstone House’s former mistress, evil and debauched Eve Darton.

This is gothic horror at its darkest. Eco’s lustful relationship with Eve is told against the backdrop of aristocratic devil rites, both in England and France, including satanic sacrifices; continuing to the Great Fire of London 1666. Along the way there are plagues, vampire destroyers and witch hunts and of course vampires!

Human evil and supernatural evil are explored in detail. There are Resurrection men who supply a necrophile doctor. Every vice and evil is examined including the hideous truth of Rose’s father and the reasons he murdered her family.

Every evil that Rose Baines was subjected to is closely examined as are those who committed the worst sins against her.

This is not light reading and although there is romance within the story, the darkness that surrounds it is relentless.

Two new characters are introduced at the end of the novel. These two feature in the fourth book which is entitled, The Fourth Bride. Also included is the book cover.

My Review:

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Unholy Testament - Full Circle picks up where Unholy Testament - The Beginnings left off. Rose and the children, Ada and Simon are still being held hostage by the evil demon Eco. Eco is using the children against Rose so that he can make her read his journal, a testament of his life that he wrote specifically for Rose. Eco has fallen in love with Rose and wants her for himself. But Rose will never love Eco she has given her heart to Louis Eco's cousin. Eco claims to love Rose but I wonder if he is capable of loving anyone. Eco was also in love with Louis' wife before Rose. On one hand I think he loved Eve and now he loves Rose but on the other hand I think he has always been jealous of Louis' and wants what he has. I think he only wants what belongs to Louis. He wants to get back at Louis for being a better person or vampire than he is.

Eco has done some mean and evil things in his life. He has used people and killed them just to see them suffer. He enjoys seeing people hurt and in pain. But at the same time he also cares for some people and has a soft spot in his heart for them. But if it serves his purpose he would kill his own mother if it would benefit him. The things he has done in his lifetime is beyond shocking. Eco believes after Rose reads his testament she will love him back. Even if she doesn't love him he will take her for himself no matter what Rose or anyone else says about it. In his mind she will be his one way or another he doesn't care how as long as she is his.

Rose is afraid of Eco and is only trying to buy time with Eco until they reach land. For now she is trying to tell Eco what she thinks he wants to hear. She doesn't want to make him mad she if afraid of what he would do to the children. Once they reach land she hopes she has come up with a plan to save herself and the children. Hopefully Rose and the children can make their escape from Eco once they reach land.

Unholy Testament - Full Circle is full of dark, gory, evil and heinous twist and turns which keeps your adrenaline going. Unholy Testament - Full Circle with all of the horrific things that goes on in it is just right up my alley. And believe me you definitely get plenty of evil in Unholy Testament - Full Circle. The ending left me with my mouth hanging open it was so surprising. I never expected it but I loved it.

I love this series The Blackstone Vampires; I have loved it since the first page of The House on Blackstone Moor. The next book Unholy Testament - The Beginnings was just as amazing as the first book. And the third book Unholy Testament - Full Circle was even better. I don't honestly know which one was the best. I can't make that choice. I can't wait for the fourth book in the series The Fourth Bride hopefully due to be released this summer.

SYNOPSIS

Unholy Testament -
The Beginnings

The day Eco first laid eyes on Rose Baines was the day she discovered (The House on Blackstone Moor) her family's savage butchery at the hands of her mad, incestuous father.

"I saw you leave the house that day, Rose, that terrible day you discovered your family butchered. I saw you…"

Eco realizing he has fallen in love with her pens a confession documenting all of his sins committed in the course of his immortal existence. The one request is that Rose reads his confession.

Rose, having become his captive, is forced to read this unholy testament of his.

From Ancient Egyptian vampire cults to Roman vampire brothels to The Dark Ages, The Crusades, The Black Death of 1348 to his meeting with child murderer and Satanist, Gilles de Rais, concluding with his wicked affair with the Blood Countess herself, Erzebat Bathory.

Eco is, if nothing else, frankly and brutally honest. The pages are filled with debauchery and vice and murder--yet, there is also love or what Eco swears is love.

The story is continued in Unholy Testament - Full Circle, to be released in early 2013.

MY REVIEW

Unholy Testament -
The Beginnings

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

In The House on Blackstone Moor we met Rose a young woman who came home one night to find her family had been murdered. She was sent to the hospital and then spent some time in an asylum. Then she was given a job as governess to the Darton's children Ada and Simon. Rose and the children's father Louis fell in love. They left Blackstone Moor because of everything that they had all been through there and everything that happen to them in the house.

And now in Unholy Testament - The Beginnings Louis had to leave on a trip to America without Rose and the children. Later on Louis writes Rose a letter with money for her and the children to book passage on a ship to join him in America. Rose finds out after boarding the ship that it has been taken over by Eco, Louis' cousin. Eco is a demon and Fallen Angel like Louis but they are not alike in any way. Louis is and tries to be a good person unlike Eco who has always been evil. Anything that pertains to evil then Eco has been a part of it. Eco has lived for a very long time and has been a part of or a witness to things like the Ancient Egyptian vampire cults to Roman vampire brothels to The Dark Ages, The Crusades, and The black Death in 1348. How can anyone be so evil?

Eco claims to be in love with Rose and has taken over the ship so that he can threaten her into reading his diary. How can anyone with so much evil and hate in his heart love anybody? A dairy or journal that he has written of his life experiences. Eco's journal or life is filled with darkness, evil, dreadful, frightful, terrible, grisly and horrific events that he has been a part of or witnessed through out his lifetime. Will Rose and the children get off the ship?

I was hooked from the very first sentence in the first book in The Blackstone Vampires Series The House on Blackstone Moor. Both books are fantastic reads. Carole knows how to write a story that will keep you hanging on each word wanting to know what is going to happen next. I can only image the research and the books that she has read and the time spent in writing The Blackstone Vampires Series. If you have not read Unholy Testament - The Beginnings then I suggest that you read The House on Blackstone Moor first. You could read Unholy Testament - The Beginnings first and still know and understand what is going on. But by reading The House on Blackstone Moor first you will find out more about Rose who she is and where she came from. You will get to know all the characters like who they are and what their roles are and who and how Rose came to know them.

If you like reading dark horror that is evil, grisly and very horrific like I do then you will love Unholy Testament - The Beginnings. I love horror in any shape, form or fashion. The scarier it is as they say the better I like it. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series Unholy Testament - Full Circle.

    About the Author

Photobucket

I wrote my first story at age 8. It was sci-fi but as both my parents were sci-fi fanatics it wasn't a surprise.

I continued to write however life got in the way as it often does, and it wasn't until 2000 that I turned back to writing. I joined a local writer's workshop and was greatly encouraged to keep up with my writing and to send things out.

Shortly afterwards, I was selected by Northwest Playwrights of England for further development but found I preferred fiction writing.

Widely published in horror and sci-fi anthologies, The House on Blackstone Moor is my first novel. It is a tale of vampirism, madness, obsession and devil worship.

Set in 19th Century Yorkshire, its locales include Victorian madhouses as well as barren, wind-swept Yorkshire moors. The story is a marriage of horror and gothic romance. I think it can best be described as being gothic paranormal romantic horror.

I suppose you could say I want to put the Goth back into Gothic.

Living in the area the novel is set in, was very beneficial. Also, as a great admirer of the Brontes and frequent visitor to the Bronte Parsonage in Haworth, I found myself nearly obsessed with recreating the gothic romantic narrative.

Having been employed in a hospital which had been historically a workhouse and asylum in Victorian times, I was able to add great realism to the depiction of the asylums as described in my novel.

The next in the series, Unholy Testament - Full Circle is the continuation of Eco's confession. It will be released in 2013.

Book 4 in the series follows that.

GOODREADS SYNOPSIS

The House on Blackstone Moor

This is a tale of vampirism, madness, obsession and devil worship as Rose Baines, only survivor of her family’s carnage, tells her story.

Fragile, damaged by the tragedy, fate sends her to a desolate house on the haunted moors where demons dwell.

The house and the moors have hideous secrets, yet there is love too; deep, abiding, eternal, but it comes with a price, her soul.

MY REVIEW

The House on Blackstone Moor

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I received a copy of the book as a free download on Amazon.

Rose Baines comes home one night to find her whole family dead, her mother, two sisters, brother and father. Her mother, sisters and brother were killed by her father, with him committing suicide. Rose is so upset and can't stop screaming. Rose's life has been nothing but tragic. She has been abused by her father since she was a child and now he has gone and taken her family from her.

Rose is first taken to "Bedlam" hospital where is treated and the taken to an insane asylum. Where she meets the "good' Dr. Bannion who tries to help Rose so she thinks. Rose doesn't believe that she will ever leave the asylum because she is told by another inmate who becomes her friend that no one ever gets out alive.

A woman who is friends with Dr. Bannion who comes to the asylum on occasion to bring things for the patients sees Rose and wants to help her. She talks to Dr. Bannion about having Rose work for her at her home on Blackstone Moor as governess to her children. Dr. Bannion agrees that working for Mrs. Darton would be good for Rose. He thinks that Rose should stay at his home for a month before starting her new job. He says she needs time to adjust in the outside world before jumping into a new job and home with people she doesn't know.

Rose is very happy with the prospect of a job and place to live. She is just thrilled that she is getting out of the asylum. Rose has no idea who or what kind of people the Dartons are nor what she is getting herself into by taking the job at Blackstone Moor. Upon arriving at Blackstone moor Rose becomes so confused with all the things that she sees and witness. She doesn't know if she is dreaming or if it is all real. Rose has no clue as to who she can trust or not trust. She begins to have feelings for Mr. Darton, feelings that she knows she should not be having for a married man.

Rose comes to love the children even when she sees them doing wired and creepy things. She loves them so much that she would give up her own life and soul to save them. With all the dark and evil things that Rose witness at Blackstone Moor she wonders if she is crazy and maybe she should leave. But she can't leave Mr. Darton and the children after falling in love with them.

I loved reading The House on Blackstone Moor with all the dark, creepy, evil things that goes on there. The House on Blackstone Moor has a lot of different paranormal creatures in it. Like vampires, fallen angels, demons and even Satan himself. I love reading books with all of these creatures in them and to find one that has all of them in it and not just one is awesome.

The House on Blackstone Moor had me hooked from the first sentence. In the very first sentence Rose has just came home to find her family dead. That is a very well written book when it can pull you in from the beginning and keep you hanging on til the last sentence in the book. Carole Gill has done a tremendous job of creating a dark world full of vampire, demons and fallen angels. I can't wait to read the sequel to The House on Blackstone Moor, Unholy Testament: The Beginnings.
