My Review:

After Eris is the inaugural novel in the After Dusk series by R.M. Demeester. I have to say that I found myself enjoying After Eris far more than I expected. From the very start, I was drawn deeply into its intrigue.

Eris had been employed by the Lucases for roughly six months, caring for their infant daughter Lily. One afternoon, Mr. Lucas returned home early and dismissed her without providing any reason. Heartbroken, she headed to a bar to drown her sorrows. As she left, a couple of men followed her out. Their intentions were unclear.

A man in the bar had been keeping an eye on the men in suits as they observed Eris. He overheard them discussing her and waiting for the moment she would exit so they could trail her. When Eris departed the bar and the men pursued her, Dean followed as well. He assisted Eris in evading the men and ensured she made it home safely.

Mr. Lucas sent Eris a text to arrange payment for what she was owed. When she arrived at their residence to collect her wages, she found that no one was home. The tension had me on the edge of my seat, eager to discover the reason behind the Lucases' sudden absence. I was taken on a thrilling journey as the mystery unfolded, constantly questioning what was happening.

I am excited to delve further into the After Dusk series. I look forward to exploring Dean’s story in After Dean, the second installment of the series.

I highly recommend After Eris to all fans of romantic suspense! Be sure to grab a copy today!
