Blurb:
He drove north to find his father. He found a monster who made him tea.
Landon Walker and his brother Caleb were never just sons. They were subjects.
A rogue geneticist. A program designed to open the mind to the spiritual plane. A binding coded into their very genes.
Now their father wants to explain. And every answer is worse than the last.
Can brotherhood survive a betrayal that began before birth?
A charismatic predator is rising from the shadows to reclaim what she built. Her operatives are already closing in.
When the angel falls silent, where do you turn?
Two brothers. A dark inheritance. A nationwide conspiracy.
Faith says they were loved into existence. Science says they were manufactured. The enemy says they belong to him.
Not everyone will survive the truth.
Ipsum Esse is the eighth book in The Unfallen, a fast-paced Christian supernatural thriller series where spiritual warfare meets edge-of-your-seat suspense. Ancient evil. Campus conspiracies. Brothers forged in fire and bound by something stronger than genetics. If you love Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness, the theological depth of Ted Dekker, or the relentless pacing of Lynette Eason and Colleen Coble, Landon Walker's story will keep you turning pages long past midnight. The X-Files meets The Chosen.
My Review:
Landon Walker and his newly found brother Caleb Mercer are setting out on a quest to find their father. Sarah showed interest in joining them, but Landon chose this moment to strengthen his bond with his brother.
As Landon and Caleb uncover the truth, they are shocked to realize that their father has been conducting experiments on them since the very beginning of their existence. What a cruel and sinister person their father has turned out to be.
Landon and Caleb are left contemplating the meaning of their existence. Why do they exist? What purpose do they serve? Some believe it is rooted in love, while others think it is simply for the sake of experimentation.
Their father wishes to clarify his motives behind his actions. However, the pressing question remains: will Landon and Caleb accept this explanation? On one hand, do they genuinely desire to know? On the other hand, what prompted their journey? Perhaps it was simply a chance to deepen their connection. Can they find it within themselves to forgive this man for his past transgressions and move forward?
Ipsum Esse is a remarkable addition to The Unfallen Series by Judah Lamb. The intrigue, suspense, and uncertainty kept me engrossed as I hurried toward the conclusion to uncover all the answers I was seeking.
Ipsum Esse starts at a slow pace, carefully guarding its secrets and revealing them gradually. It was a tense experience, capturing my focus from the very beginning and holding it without respite as I waited for the truth to unfold.
I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment in the Landon Walker series to learn more about Landon and Caleb and to see where their lives take them next.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ipsum Esse to all fans of mystery and suspense! Be sure to pick up a copy of Ipsum Esse today!
