Blurb:
A luxury flight. A poisoned passenger. And a killer trapped at 35,000 feet.
Alexia Jones thought Flight 757 would be the relaxing Florida getaway she promised her best friend, Jenna Simmons. But when a wealthy and widely disliked businessman collapses mid-flight after complaining that his mint tastes bitter, the cabin transforms from vacation escape to crime scene in a matter of seconds.
As panic spreads through the aisles, Alexia notices something the authorities miss. Her loyal German Shepherd, Buddy, reacts uneasily whenever certain passengers draw near.
The suspect list grows quickly. A furious graduate student publicly argued with the victim at the gate and carried a suspicious container of mints. The victim’s estranged sister boarded the same flight with years of resentment and a possible inheritance at stake. And one polished passenger remains far too calm while secrets ripple through the cramped cabin.
But somewhere above the clouds, Alexia realizes a terrifying truth.
The poisoner is still onboard.
And before Flight 757 lands, the killer may decide one victim isn’t enough.
My Review:
Murder on Flight 757 is a fantastic addition to Kaylah Carr's Alexia Jones Cozy Mystery series. Alexia, along with her loyal German Shepherd Buddy and her best friend, Jenna, is off on a much-needed vacation. After they board their flight, a passenger sitting across from Alexia suddenly collapses right in front of her.
With a plane full of potential suspects, Alexia starts her investigation, which may have begun at the boarding gate where the deceased had a disagreement with another passenger. As she walks down the aisle, questioning each person about what they might have seen or heard, she attempts to figure out what or who led to the man's death.
Throughout this, Buddy remains still, fixated on one spot in the plane, not glancing around the cabin. This behavior is unusual for Buddy, and Alexia notices it immediately. I think Buddy is trying to communicate something to Alexia, or perhaps warning her to be cautious, especially if the man's death was not an accident or due to natural causes.
From the moment I started reading Murder on Flight 757, I was captivated. I needed to find out what happened to this unfortunate individual. I was also curious whether Alexia's investigation would lead to another death as she got closer to uncovering the identity of the killer, assuming it was indeed murder.
It would be incredibly eerie to be trapped on a plane, 35,000 feet in the air, with a murderer. The tension and thrill of the story kept me engaged, word after word, as each part unfolded. Murder on Flight 757 was a gripping read that held my attention as I hurried to the conclusion, eager to see how everything would resolve.
I am looking forward to the next book in the Alexia Jones Cozy Mystery Series to discover where Alexia, Buddy, and Jenna will go next and what adventures await them.
