The Vanishing Hour
When the silence of Briar Hollow is broken, nothing stays buried for long.
In
the rain-soaked town of Briar Hollow, seventeen-year-old Piper
Gaines vanishes
after stepping onto her usual school bus—Route 23.
The
driver, David Harmon, is the picture of small-town reliability:
polite, punctual, and impossible to suspect.
Until
Detective Jack Marlowe, one case away from retirement,
recognizes the echo of another girl lost on the same route ten years
earlier.
My Review:
The Vanishing Hour is the first book I’ve explored by T. L. Camlock, but you can be sure it won’t be the final one. This captivating story drew me into its universe from the very first page and kept me engrossed long after I turned the last page. It's a narrative I'll cherish for an extended period.
Although The Vanishing Hour is a brief read, it certainly feels like a full-length novel with its myriad of twists and turns. The tension significantly contributed to my engagement. Piper also played a vital role in keeping me riveted to my seat, anxiously anticipating whether Detective Jack Marlowe would locate her before it was too late.
Piper boards the bus, yet she never arrives home. Her mother is aware that she is not the kind of girl to vanish for an extended period; she always returns and never causes any trouble. She is a decent person, consistently adhering to the rules, as it were.
Will Jack rescue her before the twenty-four-hour deadline is up? Who abducted Piper and for what reason? Who would wish to harm her? Countless questions can only be resolved by diving into The Vanishing Hour. So why not pick up a copy of The Vanishing Hour today to uncover all the answers?
