Maddie and her boyfriend Ben embark on an exciting trip to New York City, where they plan to meet Ben's publisher, Veronica. However, their romantic getaway takes a dark turn when Veronica is found dead in their hotel room. Suddenly, Maddie finds herself under suspicion, becoming a person of interest in the case.
Mike joins Ben and Maddie in New York to help with their investigation, determined to clear her name. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they uncover a web of secrets and lies that someone is willing to go to great lengths to conceal. The suspense builds as they try to unravel the truth and determine who is responsible for Veronica's untimely demise and why they would want to frame Maddie.
