My Review:
Witch Under Pressure was an excellent follow-up in the Crystal Beach series by Karen McSpade. This book was an incredibly captivating and enjoyable read that kept me engaged from the very first page to the last.
I loved all the characters, especially the psychic witch, Sidney Grace, her chatty cat, Mojo, and her grandmother Ada-Mae. Sidney struggles with her spell-casting abilities, so Ada-Mae enrolls her in a magic school. Sidney is hesitant about going, feeling she's too old for school.
After buying a couple of statues at the local antiques mall, Sidney and Ada-Mae stumble upon a series of burglaries. The mystery deepens as they decide to investigate the ongoing thefts further.
A troubling and dangerous presence is lurking around Mystic Dunes. With all the help they can gather, Sidney and Ada-Mae work to uncover the truth before it's too late. What's going on? Why is someone stealing magical artifacts? What are their plans?
