My Review:
Formula for Fate is an excellent continuation of the Fairy Godmothers Incorporated series by Maya Tyler. It captivated me from the very beginning and held my attention throughout. This story will stay with me for a long time. I found connections with the characters in various ways, although not necessarily for the same reasons or experiences they faced.
Leighton Carter relocates to a new city against her family's wishes to be with her boyfriend, unaware that he is already married and has no intention of being involved with her or the child she is expecting.
Leighton ultimately decides to leave him behind. She finds herself in an unfamiliar place, alone and without any acquaintances. Fortunately, she encounters a fairy godmother, Rainy, who introduces her to her granddaughter, who becomes Leighton’s new roommate and assists her in finding employment.
Soon after, Leighton meets the attractive doctor Xander, who is still mourning the loss of his wife and child. The haunting dreams he has about them and the tragic accident are hindering his ability to move on. From their first meeting, there is a strong attraction between Xander and Leighton.
However, can they navigate the grief they are both experiencing? Though their losses differ, they are both undeniably heartbreaking in their own right. Is it possible for two shattered hearts to become one?
Formula for Fate may be a brief read, but it feels significantly more profound in many aspects, as it resonates deeply with the reader. The characters contribute immensely to making the story feel richer. With every page turned, they leave you eager for more.
