My Review:
Victoria Hendricks is among the most intimidating individuals in Windmere Cove. As an inspector, she has shut down numerous businesses throughout her career. Izzy Harper and Victoria were seated across from each other discussing permits when Victoria suddenly began gasping for breath. She was quickly taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Izzy and her golden retriever, Noodle, are investigating what happened to Victoria. Izzy discovers that Victoria had been poisoned. It seems someone believed that if Victoria was out of the way, they wouldn't face eviction since she wouldn't be able to issue an eviction notice.
Izzy and Noodle’s investigation reveals multiple potential suspects. As Izzy digs deeper, she finds herself in a perilous situation, now on the killer's radar. The murderer is determined to keep Izzy quiet. She must act swiftly to thwart the killer before she becomes their next victim.
Murder at Matcha Bar is an exciting beginning to a new series, introducing us to some truly fantastic characters, with Noodle being the most adorable. The mystery and tension had me eagerly anticipating what twists lay ahead and who was responsible for poisoning Victoria. I am excited to explore the next installment in Izzy and Noodle’s adventures within the Windmere Cove Cozy Mystery series.
