What is your favorite part of the book?

I loved seeing how David not only helped Misty move into her cabin but also brought her a living plant to place by the window. It was a sweet move from someone who loves gardening and landscaping for a business. It was a sign that he was a lot different from the man who had hurt Misty.

Does your book have a lesson? Moral?

I’d like to think that gentleness and understanding between people can grow to something stronger.

Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?

Most characters in my books are a conglomerate of people I know, stories I’ve been told, or situations I’ve overheard.

Of all the characters you have created, which is your favorite and why?

Of all the characters I have created in all my books, Rhonda in the Beach House Hotel series is my favorite, or close to it. In truth, I love all my heroines.

What character in your book are you least likely to get along with?

Of all the characters in this book, Love’s Bloom, the person I might find it the most difficult to get along with is Jo Ellen, who is the one person in their social group who is unpleasant and who is always looking for the right man. Or any man.

What would the main character in your book have to say about you?

She would tell me I obviously care about people and want them to find happiness and conquer challenges.

Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?

Most of my books are in a series. Love’s Bloom is a collection of spin-off books from my Lilac Lake Inn series. I do have a few stand-alone books but they, too, are connected because though each story is different they all at some point take place at The Seashell Cottage on the west coast of Florida.

About the Author
