My Review:
Borrowing a Better Mara is about getting a second chance at life. You have the opportunity to choose a better life or receive a second chance at yours. Do you ever wish you had made different choices? What if you could pick the life you want?
Mara gets to do just that, though. She sees what life would have been like if she had made a different decision. She hopes for a happier, less stressed life. Mara has no trouble switching timelines; she just falls asleep and awakens in a different one.
The first novel in Daisy Landish's Timeline Retreats series is titled Borrowing a Better Mara. When I read the synopsis of Borrowing a Better Mara, I had no idea what to expect, but what I discovered was far more than I had expected. It ended up being far better than I had anticipated.
Reading Borrowing a Better Mara was far more enjoyable than I had anticipated. Since it is a Daisy Landish novel, I am not sure how I ever imagined it would be anything than excellent. No matter what narrative she writes, you can be sure it will be enjoyable since Daisy is one of those writers. In order to learn more about Lana's tale, I am eager to read the upcoming book in the Timeline Retreats series, Becoming a Bolder Lana.
