Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in A Prom to Remember?
I love talking about my characters, and jump at any chance to tell people about them. But because there are seven main characters in A PROM TO REMEMBER, it’s hard to talk, or in this case write, about all of them at once without nearly ending up with a whole new book. I wanted to come up with a way to distill their personalities in just a sentence or two.
And then I realized the answer: Twitter bios. Twitter bios are a perfect way to summarize a character since you’re forced to consolidate their essence into 160 characters. So, here I present you with Twitter bios for each of the POV characters in A PROM TO REMEMBER.
Cameron- I’m here to live tweet The Walking Dead for my four followers.
Cora- A little bit of everything all rolled into one. Technically on hiatus until finals but I can’t stay away.
Henry- Paisley made me do it.
Jacinta- “I know I am but summer in your heart, and not the full four seasons of the year.” Edna St. Vincent Milay
Lizzie- I’m a butcher, a baker, & a candlestick maker. That’s a lie. I’m really a baked potato technician at the mall, a Zimbits fangirl, & high school student. But it doesn’t have the same ring to it.
Otis- Have you ever gotten grounded for an unspecified amount of time and decided to join Twitter? “You get to exhale now, Simon.”
Paisley- I should really just rename this account “Overheard at Hot Potato.” No, I will not go to Prom with you.
Author Bio:
I’m a teen librarian from New Jersey where I was born and raised. I have a BA in Communication and a Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers University. When I’m not writing, or teen librarian-ing, I enjoy reading, slot machines, marathoning TV shows, and long scrolls through Tumblr. A LITTLE SOMETHING DIFFERENT is my first novel.
