Blurb:

She survived captivity and the sea. Now a fated bond ties her to a Water Fae guardian whose sacred vows forbid him to love her.

After being stolen, bound, and sold, Halveria escapes her captors only when a storm shatters their ship. She throws herself into the sea rather than drown in chains, fighting for a life no one else meant her to keep.

When she wakes on a remote island, wounded but alive, she is in the care of Bacariell, the Water Fae guardian of a quiet seaside sanctum.

He calls her Tidegift.

To Halveria, the name feels like a blessing. A second chance. A strange pull toward the quiet, beautiful guardian who heals her wounds, steadies her fear, and watches her as if the tide itself delivered her into his care.

But Bacariell’s life is built on vows he cannot break. Love, desire, and devotion have no place in the duty that keeps him bound to the sanctum and the secretive village it protects.

Yet the bond forming between them refuses to be denied.

When the sea begins to stir and the island’s secrets rise with the tide, Halveria discovers that safety can become another kind of cage, and the man who saved her may be the one asked to surrender her.

Some vows are stronger than desire.
Some bonds are stronger than vows.
And some gifts are worth defying the tide to keep.

Tidegift & the Water Guardian is a spicy romantasy novella filled with fated bonds, sacred vows, forbidden longing, sea magic, hidden island secrets, and a Water Fae guardian torn between duty and the woman the tide brought to his shore.

My Review:

Tidegift & the Water Guardian is the first book by S.D. Huston I’ve read, but hopefully it won’t be the last, as I enjoyed it far more than I expected. It was an incredibly captivating read that held my attention from the very first page.

The story opens with a young woman, Halveria, tied to the deck of a pirate ship and being taken to a new master by her captors. As a raging storm threatens to destroy the vessel, a young man comes to her rescue, unties her, and pushes her overboard. The violent sea sweeps her to shore, where she meets Bacariell, a water fae guardian who takes her in and heals her wounds, calling her Tidegift.

Love soon flares between them, but Bacariell is bound to a sacred sanctum and the secretive village it protects. The question remains: which bond is stronger? The vow the Water Guardian made to his island, or the connection growing between him and Tidegift?

Tidegift & the Water Guardian is full of mystery and secrets that are sure to hold your attention, just as they did mine. Though it is a short story, it is packed with suspense and tension, pulling you deeper into its world with each turn of the page. I didn’t want it to end—I just wanted it to keep going!

I highly recommend this little jewel to all romantic fantasy fans. Grab your copy today for a truly magical journey!
