Book Description from Goodreads:

Her husband appears two weeks after she receives his urn. George suspects foul play from his wife. He is running a minus temperature. He wants to go to bed to warm up. She wants nothing to do with that idea.

My Review:

The following review is my honest opinion and not a paid review.

George and Helen had been married for ten years. One day George just fell over right there in the living room. They were watching tv and old George got up from his chair and just fell right over and hit his head and died. Well Helen had George cremated and put his ashes in an urn so she could put them on the mantel. Well a few weeks after old George was cremated he came home very confused as to what was going on with his memory being very vague as to what had been going on for the last two weeks.

George was very cold and wanted his wife Helen to go to bed with him so that he could get himself all warmed up. But Helen didn't want any part of that one seeing how George had died a few weeks ago. But you see old George he didn't know that he had died. His memory wasn't working very well for him. Helen herself was very confused as to what was going on but didn't seem to upset or scared with the fact that her husband who had died has just walked into her house as if nothing had happened.

Yes Zombie is a very short book with just a few pages in it but at the same time is a very good read. Zombie is very different than other books about Zombies. In most zombie books the zombies can't talk and all they want to do is eat your brains or just eat you. But old George is not like that. Old George doesn't even recognize that he is dead. Ok so Zombie is a very short book but it still deserves to be read. I enjoyed reading it it and I think you would too.

Book Tour: Review of The Reborn: The Book of Dain By Casse Narome

The Reborn: The Book of Dain Banner photo TheRebornTheBookofDainBlitzBanner.png

The Reborn: The Book of Dain Cover photo ReborntheBookofDainThe-CasseNarome.jpg

Title: The Reborn: The Book of Dain
by Casse Narome
Genre: YA Paranormal Romance
Release date: 3/21/13 from Bayou Brew Publishing

Amazon Kindle

Blurb:

Dain has lived a total of ninety-nine different lifetimes and in every single one he has loved the same girl. But now Tara is gone and in her place there stands Bonnie, the complete opposite of Tara. Is Dain's shot at love over or has he lived all these lives because he has been loving the wrong girl?

Excerpt:

"Dain, we are here. We are walking the rest of the way."

I sat up as Bonnie reached back from the front seat to shake me again. Still half asleep, I grabbed her hand, and she allowed me to pull her through the opening. I tugged her onto my lap in the cramped back seat and closed my arms around her. It was nice to have her back where she belonged. Whether she was Bonnie or Tara, she felt familiar. She didn't melt into me like she usually would have, and I tried to ignore the hurt that wreaked havoc on my heart.

"Where are Marco and Akila?" My groggy voice was thick with gravel.

"They are looking around for a place to hide the car."

I snuggled against her neck, inhaling deeply. Her skin was warm, fragrant silk against my nose. I nuzzled deeper. "You don't like me much do you, Bonnie?" She lifted her chin, allowing me to trail my lips along her jaw. Her breath caught as I flicked my tongue against the dip beneath her earlobe.

"You are a stranger to me, Dain, so how can I dislike you? But you aren't the man I love. I love Dylan."

I kissed her chin, and now her breath sped up in response. I felt her pulse racing beneath my finger tips on her wrist.

"Bonnie, if you knew what I know about Dylan, you'd hate him as much as I do."

"I could never hate Dylan." She turned to face me, our lips a breath away from one another. Her eyes blazed with a fire deep from within her that I had never seen in Tara, and I was almost consumed by the heat.

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Dain and Tara have loved each other for an eternity and eternity of ninety-nine years. Dain and Tara are soulmates that have found each other through all of their lifetimes together. Tara is usually the one who is looking for Dain in each of their lifetimes. They have been told that they are reincarnated ninety-nine different times and if they have not made their lives together work in this lifetime this is it they don't get another shot.

Tara goes looking for Dain but she doesn't find him. She finds Dylan instead, Dylan is Dain in this lifetime but at the moment Dain doesn't know this and doesn't know who Tara is at first. Dain/Dylan has fallen for another girl in this lifetime. In this last chance liftime Dylan is in love with Missy and when he sees Tara for the first time he doesn't know her. Although he feels deep down in his heart that he has met this girl before. But he just can't seem to put his finger on it. Dylan and Tara start talking and everything comes back to Dylan he remembers that he is not Dylan that he is Dain. At the moment when Dain remembers who he is and who Tara is he realizes that he has never loved Missy and that she is not the person her thought she was. Dain realize that he loves Tara and has loved her for all of eternity.

Tara sees Dain and Missy together and then she knows that Dain has not waited for her in this lifetime and it breaks her heart. Her heart is so broken up over the fact that Dain didn't wait for her that she tells him it is over that he must not truly love her or he would not be with Missy. Tara is a very sweet and loving person she is the complete opposite of Missy. When Dain figures out who he is and who Tara is he can't see how he ever thought he could have loved Missy. What Dain doesn't know is that her was set up, framed.

Wouldn't it be a grand and glorious day to wake up one morning and you realize that you are someone else that you are living another life? And you're like oh wow this is the day that I meet my soulmate. You go from one life to the next and you always know that you and the one that you love will see each other in the next life. What would make it more grander would be the fact that you could remember each and every one of the lives that you have lived. You could like make a date with your soulmate. You could tell them to meet you in say Illinois in front of the Lincoln memorial on July 23, 2054.

The Reborn: The Book of Dain is one grand book that I think everyone should give it a shot especially if you believe in reincarnation. Well and even if you don't it is still a good read one that you would not regret trying it. I loved how that even when Dain and Tara were not their self and they were Dylan and Bonnie they were still drawn to one another. They had feelings for one another that they didn't understand. So click that link up there and go get your copy and start reading it today.

Description:

When her society matron mother presents Caroline with a one-night stand date a week before her wedding, she's appalled. Even worse, the encounter will take place at the fantasy ranch resort operated by her high school lover, Javier Alvarado. Although determined to remain faithful to her fiancé, she's tempted and intrigued to see her first love again. It's not like she has to sleep with him.

But one look and kiss later, she yearns for the man she walked away from so long ago. Unfortunately, when Javier discovers Caroline is engaged, all he can see is deception and heartbreak all over again.

Can a 1Night Stand from Madame Eve reunite them or will one night with the bride sever their ties forever?

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains adult sexual situations and/or adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Excerpt:

Javier led Caroline to the seclusion of the stable then spun to face her. "Are you buttering up my employees to gather secrets about my resort so you can undermine my success and create your own for Sunburst Hotels?"

She blinked, her blue eyes owlish and innocent. "You think I arrived in a helicopter and announced my presence to the entire county to engage in corporate espionage? Granted, I don't have any prior experience, but I think I'd take the under-the-radar approach. Arrive in a rental car and check in anonymously. Maybe apply for a job as a janitor."

Okay, so he'd accused before thinking the idea through. Her closeness rendered him temporarily insane. He gripped her upper arms. "What are you doing then?"

"For Sunburst Hotels? Absolutely nothing. I quit my job a month ago."

"You want to apply as my private janitor? I'm only in my office at night, and if you came in I guarantee you wouldn't be emptying garbage cans."

Her eyes grew even more luminous. "What would I be doing?"

"Stripping, so I could take you on my desk."

Her lips parted, as if the image turned her on.

The hell with the desk. He pulled her flush to his body, wanting her immediately-in the stable, on his real turf.

"Wait." She pushed against his chest. "We can't just pick up where we left off fifteen years ago."

"Why not? We're two consenting, unattached adults."

Of course, they had issues from the past to work through. But when they'd been together, she understood him the way no one else ever had.

"Um." Her gaze dropped away from his. "Actually, I'm not unattached. I'm engaged."

Excerpt:

Talk time was over. We stared. And stared. And stared some more.

His smoky blue eyes bled to black and his power pushed at me, hot and hard, causing a response inside me, like a rumbling volcano deep in my core. My eyes widened. Was this the power my family had mentioned? No longer dormant and infinitely more intense than a little static electricity in my palms.

Alexander crushed his lips to mine. Need roared through me leaving me breathless with edgy hunger.

My hands burrowed into his thick, silky hair, holding his head as if he might try to escape. He growled his approval against my lips, his kiss growing more insistent. His tongue explored my mouth. He tasted metallic, like the blood he'd consumed. Again, I found I liked the taste. My tongue danced with his and delved into his mouth, searching for more penny metal flavor. He groaned and tightened his embrace.

I thought we'd devour each other forever, but Alexander stiffened and his head snapped up. His eyes glinted black as night, wild with lust and...aggression? He bared his teeth in a snarl, canines morphing into fangs. Long, sharp, lethal.

On instinct, I pushed against his chest to get some distance between those teeth and my neck. He ignored me, head whipping around to survey the room. A feral growl erupted from his throat and he shoved me under the table.

My cries of protest were drowned out by animalistic roars and breaking furniture. From my spot under the table, I felt around on the bench for my coat, all the while keeping an eye on the room. Dark blurs flitted back and forth, pieces of table and chair flew by...Bingo. My coat. I searched the pocket for my phone. Once in hand, I hit the button for my boys.

The fighting around me stopped. The familiar techno ring tone of Mark's phone broke the sudden silence. He's here?

The table above me was tossed away. Steel hands grabbed my legs and dragged me, face down. I dropped the phone and flattened my palms on the floor, trying to resist. One hand bumped into a steak knife and I grabbed it. My assailant flipped me over and lunged. I aimed for his heart but the knife plunged into his throat.

Blurb:

Ella knew what Neil wanted when he called, what they both wanted. Did she dare? Was an hour of passion worth the lies, broken commitments, and the risk of getting caught? Yes.

Excerpt:

Acutely aware she was the only woman in the place, she felt every set of eyes track her walk through the bar. Leaving several stools between herself and the next patron, she hung her purse off the back and used the rung under the chair to hop up onto the elevated seat. The bartender sauntered her way and Ella made her hushed request, "White wine, please."

He had to uncork a new bottle but she was relieved to see it was a decent California label.

Now she waited, sipping her wine. The negligible amount of calm she'd possessed when she walked in here faded with a self-conscious whimper. She glanced at the door then at her phone once again, checking the time and warring with herself about calling him. The more uncomfortable she got, the more she kicked her toe against the foot rail. Unfortunately, the sound drew the attention of a couple of patrons as well as the bartender. She hooked her heel over the stool support below. It was the only way to keep from fidgeting.

Ella felt exposed and out of her element sitting in a place like this, nice as it was, at two o'clock on a weekday afternoon. She wanted to fold herself up small enough to hide out in her purse, but that wasn't going to happen. The minutes stretched on and her anxiety over being approached by one of these men increased. She sent out a silent mental message to those in the room. Just leave me alone. Ignore me. I'm not here.

A subtle brush, very faint across her back, made her turn. The warm body and even warmer smile on the handsome face gazing down on her caused Ella's heart to start beating in double time. She breathed a big sigh of relief.

Neil looked too good for words.

He casually drew his hand over the back of her chair, his finger teasing her as it skimmed across her shoulder blades. His smile deepened when she let out a soft, involuntary moan.

"I hoped you'd come. You look beautiful, Ella." He slid onto the stool next to her.

She felt the heat of her blush, the pounding of her heart. "You know I can't stay long. I shouldn't have come in the first place. Neither should you. What are we doing? If anyone sees me I don't how I could possibly explain this."

"I understand your fear." He covered her hand and gave it a squeeze. "We'll be careful. You need to trust me. Try to relax."

"I'm trying. I am. It's just ... the more we do this, the more chances we take that someone is going to find out."

She looked down at Neil's hand, conscious of the weight, the strength in it resting over her own. Oh god, she was going to waver. She knew she would. She always did-but only for him. All he had to do was ask.

Then it came, his low, seductive invitation. "Stay with me, please? Give me an hour."

Description:

It's never too late for a second chance at love.

Keiran McDermott has lived by one simple rule for over a hundred years: keep a safe distance from humans at all times. He knows from experience that close proximity to them can lead to disasters and more often than not, end up badly. But when the need to explore a nearby town places him directly in the path of a woman being stalked by two foul predators, the instinct to protect the young beauty from the men intent on causing her harm forces him to break his self-imposed law.

However, once she's safely away from her attackers, Keiran finds himself locked in another battle. He knows his weakness can kill: it did so in the past. But how can he find the courage to stay away, when the image of her lovely face torments his mind?

When a new threat forces him to come to Celine's aid again, will Keiran be able to fight temptation long enough to keep her alive and protected, even from himself?

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains adult sexual situations and/or adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Excerpt:

There was nothing Keiran wanted more at that moment than to take Celine into the spare bedroom and make love to her until they were both exhausted and completely satiated. But he knew the risks, and he feared them like he feared no enemy.

After a few minutes of deep kissing, he pulled away.

"And you are not afraid by that fact?" he said, admitting perhaps a bit more than he intended with that question.

She shook her head. "This might sound crazy, but I have the feeling you have a good reason behind your silence."

"I do," he replied. "And you're not going to tell me what it is?"

He planted a quick peck on the top of her head before saying, "No."

"Why?" Damn, she's an inquisitive female. But he had to admit that he liked that about her.

"Because then I would have to reveal too much about myself."

Taking a step back, Celine glanced up at him in alarm. "You didn't kill those men, did you?"

He shook his head.

"No, I did not." He hated to see the doubt in her eyes, but then again, what could he expect? After all she had been through, it was only right that she remained cautious, and she really did have reason to doubt him and his intentions - she just did not know it.

"Then I believe I have yet to thank you properly."

"How does one do that?" he asked, already pushing his arousal toward her.

"I don't really know." Suddenly shy, Celine looked away.

At her sudden shyness, he smiled. "A simple 'thank you' is enough."

Keiran could think of a dozen or more ways she could thank him, but it was better he move away now, before things got out of hand. Every time he kissed her, the risks increased. Keeping himself at a distance, however, was pure torture, and he often lost the battle to stay put and not reach out for her. Reminding himself to stay under control proved even harder, but he needed to get a grip on himself. Otherwise, the consequences could turn out to be too great, especially for her. He cared too much about her to let anything bad happen, and right now, he was the biggest threat.

In spite of his desire to kiss her senseless, Keiran withdrew.

"Are you still up for that nature walk tomorrow afternoon?" he asked, already regretting the short distance that separated them. However, even though he wanted nothing more than to touch every curvy inch of her body, he felt it best to hold his ground.

He was a lot better at getting back on track than she was. Even as he took several steps back, he could see how she brought her hands together and interlocked her fingers. He noticed how fast her heart beat, how the skin on her face, neck, and upper chest reddened as she stared up at his eyes. She no more immune to him than he was to her, and that pleased him.

"Of course."

"Fantastic." He took her small hand in his big one and planted a brief kiss on it before releasing it. "Good night, Celine."

"Good night, Keiran." She hurried inside the bedroom and he hurried to his.
