The power of the glass slipper, when paired with its mate, and in the wrong hands, could ruin the peace of Everafter. Bianca must gather every bit of magic she has learned in the past few weeks to find the slipper and protect her new love. Together, Bianca, Ming, Prince Ferdinand, and Terrance venture deep into the heart of Everafter to seek clues as to who has stolen the slipper and why. Along the way, they uncover what happened to the Seven Dwarves after Snow White married the prince, but also learn the awful risk of tampering with black magic and the high price that must be paid for magic, even when used for good.

Bianca and Terrance's relationship is put to the test. Through the pain of suffering and loss, Bianca must determine if following her gallant boyfriend into his faraway world is in fact her heart's desire.

Book Description:

Seeds Of Transition: Book One - The Genesis Project is full of gripping adventure, psychological thrills, and emotional conflict from start to finish.

As the world's population approaches 10 billion people, and severe weather extremes impact crop and livestock production, the demand for and price of food is rising. The American government, as well as other powerful individuals, find themselves looking for intelligent, albeit unlikely heroes in the world of academia.

Jarod Farra, a professor of agriculture at Cornell University, quickly finds himself at the forefront of both his longstanding dreams, and perhaps, some of his worst fears. Out of the turmoil and fear of an impending international food shortage, a range of characters come together to perform an experiment that will forever change the world as we know it, and provide new hope for generations to come.

Chapter 1
Noakhali, Bangladesh
2030 AD
"Vows made in storms are forgotten in calm."
~Thomas Fuller ~

The warm air enveloped the sleeping village as if the dawn would bring with it the start of a day like any other. Farmers slumbered, their bodies fatigued from the hard day's work in the paddies. Mothers rose quickly and quietly to nurse crying babies, hushing them so their fathers could rest. The wind was picking up, ushering with it a blanket of clouds that blocked the light of the full moon, making the night very dark. The rain started to come down, softly at first and then more heavily as the night wore on.

The slosh of waves slapped against the hulls of fishing boats tied to submerged docks. The thumping sound of wood meeting wood as the swells pushed the boats against the quays was getting deeper and deeper as the rain filled the crafts, making them heavier and heavier. Soon they would sink, their tethers preventing them from reaching the muddy bottom. Oars and net staffs would soon float away.

Not so very far away the balmy, moist air was rising from the water's surface and mounting the wind on its trek toward the sky. More warm air rushed in to replace it and then it too began to rise. The repeating cycle continued and went on through the night; air swirled in and up, over and over again.

Overhead, a platform of cool air waited to meet the rising warm moisture, the collision transforming the mist into heavy, thick clouds. The wind swooped in and the dance commenced, slowly at first but steadily gaining pace. It tirelessly whirled the new clouds around and around as the phase below repeated over and over again. The tempo swelled and the wind began to howl its delight as more clouds rose to meet her, whirling and churning, the action became more savage, more intense, building, and building until finally, she was delivered and the tempest was born; beautiful and exquisitely formed liked no other before her.

The rising warm air fed her, and the wind strengthened her and her rage grew more powerful with every passing hour. Soon, she would realize her full potential and she would be unstoppable and unforgiving as she fulfilled her destiny. All people would remember her name, she would never be forgotten.

Not so very far away, slumbering in their tiny homes, farmers rested from a hard day's work and mothers gently placed their sleeping infants back in their beds. It was still hours from dawn; still time for sleep before the new day began.

Ghazi woke suddenly, startled as he shot straight up in bed, his heart beating so hard that he could hear it; a steady, deafening thump in his ears. A desperate look around the room assured him that all was well within the walls of his tiny home. Aala and Jarood were sleeping peacefully. He realized that he must have been dreaming although he could not remember it, his heart slowed to a normal pace but he was wide awake now and not likely to go back to sleep.

The sounds of rain falling hard outside and the gustiness of the wind caught his attention. It was still dark outside, at least two hours from dawn but he looked out the window anyway. Nothing; at least, nothing that he could see. He glanced at the small table in the corner which held the union VHF radio. Had a bulletin come across and awakened him? Something was wrong, he knew it, and he felt it. He watched the radio intently for a few minutes, waiting, and then it happened.

The cyclone warning came in a frantic voice, thick with the Noakhali dialect of the area. It said that the BMD, Bangladesh Meteorological Department had issued a cyclone warning at 4am. The storm had developed overnight and was expected to make landfall in the Noakhali district in the Upazila of Hatiya in two to three hours. Village units were to proceed immediately with warning and evacuation procedures. Maximum sustained winds had been recorded at 225 kilometers per hour, and the tidal surge was projected to be approximately 4.5 meters.

Ghazi's blood became ice in his veins. He looked over toward his bed and saw Aala staring back at him, wide eyed as the fear gripped her; she had also heard the alert.

He sprang into action, all of the volunteer training coming back to him now; he remembered what he had to do. He pulled on his day clothes hurriedly; Aala roused the boy and directed him to dress quickly while she went behind the curtain to do the same. Within seconds she was back in the center of the room. She held two bags, one she handed to her son and the other she filled with the most important items in the room. The boy gathered food from the shelves, knowing exactly what to grab as his father had performed this drill with his family many times; only this time it was not practice. Ghazi donned the sash and hat that identified him as a Red Crescent volunteer, and seized the megaphone that had been assigned to him.

Exactly three minutes had passed since the warning had come across the radio, and the Farra family was at the door ready to leave their tiny mud brick home. Ghazi quickly ran through what they were to do and where they were to go. He would meet them at the shelter as soon as the warnings were out to the people of the village. A quick look into each other's eyes, and everything that needed to be said between them had been said. Ghazi opened the door and they entered the windy, wet darkness.

They separated; Aala and Jarood went in one direction, Ghazi in the other. Mother and son trudged through the water and sucking mud that had been the road just yesterday. She clutched at ...

Excerpt:

I ran back deep into the woods, without even staring back as I tried to evade my teacher and the students hurtful reactions. But I came to a stop when my feet began aching. It was then that I saw this young man, slender; broad shouldered; brown hair, with big brows and a comb over hairstyle.

The good looking young men carry some equipment with himself that I couldn't quite make out what it really was. Somewhere in my heart, I felt a wild emotion, which I didn't know if it was pure sexual attraction or love at first sight.

"Hi there, my name is Keith Sullivan."

"Hi Keith, I am Julia Moore, Julie for short, nice to meet you. Wait, you are not from here, right?" I asked while I looked at him straight at his eyes. "Because I have never seen you in this valley before."

"Well, actually I am not from here, I am a foreigner. I come from Europe."

"What brings you here then, business, family, or love?"

"If finding a treasure is a business, then I guess is business."

"A treasure! Is there really a treasure in this valley?"

"Nonsense, I just like to search for stuff with my metal detector. I am a tourist crazy to find amazing souvenirs at every place I travel."

"But why travel to Dead Valley when there is more exotic places to travel?" I asked.

"It's because I have an uncle who told me about Dead Valley. He said it's a unique valley because it has its own platinum mines down underground. And I am planning to buy a lot of platinum."

"You like platinum and I that live here don't like it. I don't even like to wear gold. I just can't stand wearing jewelry at all."

Keith came closer to me, his body almost touching mine. His nose touched my tip of my nose, and my lips rubbed his lips. We both kissed wildly. His saliva tasted like sugary honey syrup. It was a deliciously dream, until he threw be back, detaching himself completely from myself.

Blood snaked down Keith's cheeks, and my mouth savored a light taste of iron. My throat swallowed his blood, and delighted my taste buds all the way to my stomach. I stared at him with seduce eyes.

"I am really sorry that I bite you."

"Don't worry Julie it must be your first kiss, right?"

"Yes it is indeed."

My Review:

I was given a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Eighteen year old Julia Moore whom everyone calls Julie was on her way to visit with her friend Chloe when she has an accident and ends up in the hospital. Poor Julie didn't make it she died while in the hospital. But Julie didn't know that she was dead when she returned home. Everyone kept saying "Julie why are you here?" "Who are you?" Julie's whole world had been turned upside down. She didn't have a clue as to what was going on. Her life as she knew had changed and it was blowing her mind, even her body was changing.

Not long after she had returned home her father had an accident and had to be taken to the hospital himself. Julie's mother came home after visiting with her father to tell Julie that her father had died. Julie along with her mom and grandmother all three were so upset over losing her father that they all kept asking why did you take my father, my husband, my son, why not me, why could it not have been me. Lots of people in Julie's life were disappearing from her home town without a trace. Julie kept asking what had she done that was so bad for her to deserver everything that was happening to her.

All Julie wanted was to find that one true love, you know Mr. Right and have a family of her own. She knew exactly what she wanted in a man and how many children she wanted too. After she came home from the hospital she stayed in the house all the time. She was afraid to go out in public and see people with everyone thinking that she was dead. Julie's mom and grandmother keeps telling her that she is not their Julie that she is someone else. They keep telling her that she has changed that she doesn't act the same. This new Julie is more outspoken, she takes up for herself more. With all that she had been through who can blame her for asking a lot of questions. She is just trying to find out what happened to her and why everyone is saying that she is dead when she is standing right there in front of them, right in front of their eyes. Everyone thinks that she is disrespecting them but she is not.

I have really and truly enjoyed and loved reading Twinge. I loved reading about Julie and her family and being there with Julie while she tried to figure out what was going on. Twinge had a lot of twist and turns that kept you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what was going to happen to Julie next and how she would handle it. The ending is one great big surprise that I never saw coming. Homar Solano is one amazing writer who knows how to keep you hanging on until the end. Twinge is one of those books that you don't want to put down until you have read every word.

About the Author:

Homar Solano was born in Los Angeles, California, although wihin a year his parents brought him to Chicago, Illinois, were he grew up and currently resides, with four brothers and two sisters, plus a father and a mother that inspires him to write on a daily basis.

His great devotion for history and science and literature, incline him to get curious while his sister read a complete book in one setting, uninterruptly. His mind began wandering what was that, that made people immerse themselves completely inside a book. His passion for reading has grown over the years, leading him to be highly immersed into reading and writing.

Soul Sisters (Soul Sisters series book 1)
Dark Expectations (Soul Sisters series book 2)
Good Ghost Gone Bad (Vigilante Ghosts series book 1)

My Review:

I was given a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Brenda wakes to the sound of a little girl's voice asking her for help. Her mother was sick and this little girl didn't know what to do. Brenda being half asleep is wondering how this child got in her room. She must have left the door unlocked when she came to her room after a night of partying with rum and coke. Brenda is just so happy that it is only a little girl that is in her room and not some dude that would be out for one thing and one thing only she is very aware of how lucky she is.

She slowly pulls her brain into the world of the living and the sound of a little girl's voice. The little girl whom she finds out is Michelle tells her that her mother is sick and wants her to go help her. So Brenda goes with the little girl to check on her mother. Upon arriving in their room Brenda finds that after checking Michelle's mother to see if she is breathing, finds that she is not but the smell alone has already given her a clue that her mother has already left them behind. Brenda thinks she is losing her mind after Michelle's mother starts making noises and attacks them.

Brenda and Michelle run out of the room which is not easy as Michelle's mother is sort of fast for someone who is undead. Brenda can't believe what she is seeing the undead walking around it is like a movie with zombies. Her mind is like in slow motion trying to figure out what is going on while at the same time thinking that they need to get off the ship. But she doesn't know how they are going to do that. Of course they have boats on the ship just for this reason but they are out in the middle of the ocean in freezing water.

While making their way to the top deck of the ship Brenda and Michelle run into more of these zombie like creatures. These zombies are not like the ones that Brenda has seen on tv or in a movie, these zombies are faster or well most are. Brenda is caring Michelle she is afraid of putting her down she is afraid that one of the zombie will get her. Michelle tells Brenda that she can walk. Even though Brenda's arms are getting kind of tired caring her there is no way she is going put her down.

She figures that Michelle can only be about five or six years old because of her size even though she seems to be a very smart child. Yeah well Michelle could be more like eight or nine years old. I mean just because she is little and short doesn't mean that she is a toddler. When I was like five or six years old my grandmother worried that I was going to be a midget. I remember when I was eighteen years old and had just graduated from high school a few months before I was visiting my aunt and there were two ladies there too. These two ladies kept looking at me and finally they ask me why I was not in school. We all just laughed and I told them that I graduated that year. Well they couldn't believe it they thought I was twelve years old. I have found out in the last year or two that legally I am a midget and oh I am just one inch shy of having to use a car seat like children do when they ride in a vehicle. I have been called all kinds of names like shorty, short stuff, little bit. Oh well names don't bother me well except one kind of does and that is being called stumpy. But ok my point is that Michelle could have been older and Brenda was treating her like a toddler. Which hey I understand that all Brenda was thinking about was keeping her alive. I would have done the exact same thing as Brenda. I would have protected that child with my life as well.

Zombie Cruise is a very well written story the only problem I had with it is that I wanted more. I wanted to know more about Brenda and Michelle and their lives. How does Michelle handle her mother being gone and that she will never see her again? Who was Brenda? Who was Michelle's mother? Who was Michelle? Have you read Zombie Cruise? No, well then you need to head on over to Amazon right now and pick up your copy. Oh you just don't know what you are missing.

The Secret Guardian
Genre: Fantasy
Publisher: CreateSpace & BookTango
Release Date: April 2013

Book Description:

A Sacred Society exists amongst us all. Believed only as a myth-its origin thrives in secret. Once transformed, each generation of its members become the elite of our society-some for good and some for evil as well. Troy Anthony, unknowingly and somewhat unwillingly, is about to join the elite, like his father before him. It takes a close family friend to ultimately expose the Secret to Troy, revealing his true destiny, and then she becomes a valuable ally. They inadvertently share a unique bond-one of which many doubt its very existence. Troy is taken to two magical places where he learns many secrets of the world, many of which we all have been curious about. It becomes an epic battle where Troy clashes with an evil tyrant, his father's assassin, a distant cousin sharing many of Troy's unique abilities.

Claire Anthony suddenly rose up in bed, escaping the nightmare which held her hostage. Breathing heavily as if running from fear, she threw back the deep heavy quilts and sat nervously on the edge of her bed. Still shaken, beads of sweat rolled down her forehead, gently sloping along her narrow cheekbones. Her silken auburn brown hair was drenched along the hairlines. She sighed heavily as she glanced at the clock on her night stand-2 a.m.
This was not a rare nightmare, but rather a recurring one, brought on by a Secret she had kept for many years, an ancient secret known by only a few. She needed to reveal the Secret to her son, Troy, even sooner than she wished. The Secret would change their lives forever if Troy decided to fulfill his destiny-like his father before him.
She noticed a mysterious shadow lingering on her rug from the bright moon shining through her window. Driven by curiosity, she walked to the window to take a peek, as if searching for someone or something in particular. The brilliance from the moon illuminated the entire farmyard, almost like day. After a thorough examination and seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she quietly returned to bed. She once again buried herself within heavy handmade quilts passed down to her from her grandmother, most of which Claire as a child watched her make.
Claire and her son, Troy, lived on her grandparents' farm in Virginia where she was raised. She lost both of her parents in an auto accident when she was barely eight years of age. When her grandparents both passed, she inherited the farm. She and Troy moved back there after the loss of her husband, Bruce, in the North Tower during the 9/11 attacks in New York City. Much like herself, Troy had to deal with death at a very early age. After the tragedy and some healing time, she thought it best to get her son out of the city, which prompted her move back to the farm. The farm was nestled in a small valley amongst the Blue Ridge Mountains near the sleepy little town of Sweet Springs. Claire recollected the good times she had growing up there. The clean fresh country air and the friendly people made it a perfect place for raising her son and teaching him strong values. The beautiful scenery and a laid-back lifestyle made it perfect for her as well.
Claire was a slender woman of forty years, about five-and-a-half feet in height. Her vivid green eyes and captivating smile made everyone take notice when she entered a room. Even with hints of gray blending in with her auburn brown hair, she appeared to be at least ten years younger than her age. Many men had come calling on her, but she had turned them all away-graciously.
The next morning dawned cool and crisp with a bite in the air that rendered noses and cheeks rosy red, much like good old Saint Nick's. The heavy frost had the appearance of a coating of freshly fallen snow. As the sun peeked over the horizon, the trees sparkled and glimmered as if infused with magic. The hillsides were speckled orange with pumpkin patches. The valley was consumed with the fragrance of seasoned oak and hickory burning in fireplaces. In the home of Claire and Troy, the aroma of freshly cooked bacon filled every room-making your tongue tingle, mouth water and stomach cry.
This aroma awakened Troy every morning at 6:30 sharp. He would always leap out of bed, bounce down the stairs, and be at the table anxiously waiting before his mother could finish preparing breakfast. This morning was oddly different. Claire had finished cooking and Troy was not yet at the table. She glanced at her grandmother's antique clock on the old mantle-6:45. She was astonished, for she had never had to call him for breakfast before. She made her way to the hallway, then called up the stairs, "Troy, are you up yet?"
